Captain Robert Alfano had the pleasure of fishing with Jason Godfrey and his family. They were looking to get out on Lake Okeechobee to catch some largemouth bass. Clewiston was the best destination for them as the bass were on the outside edges and weed lines. The East wall of Clewiston is a productive spot for anglers to catch bass all year long.
Jason and his family traveled from Michigan to experience this beautiful lake and it blessed them. Captain Rob put them on over 20 largemouth bass in their short trip. The winds were blowing making it an interesting day on the water. Everyone had fun and Captain Rob is looking forward to getting back on the water with this lovely family in the near future!
They caught 6 largemouth bass on artificial baits on their short fishing trip. The most productive baits on this fishing trip were soft plastic worms, rattle traps, and flukes. Antonio and his son caught bass up to 3 pounds and will be back in the near future for more bass fishing action!

It was not long after this fishing trip that Captain Rick was back on Lake Okeechobee. This time he adventured out of Okeechobee City. He had the pleasure of fishing with Jason and his son Jake and his friend Cody. The action was hot and heavy with artificial lures. Flukes, senkos and spinner baits came in handy on this fishing trip. Jason, Jake, and Cody landed over 30 largemouth bass on artificial baits and only one bass on wild-caught shiners.
They could not have been happier to have a day on the water like this one. Bass fishing is getting better by the day and they will be back for more. Captain Rick is looking forward to getting them on even better fish!
Clewiston legend and Captain Mark Shepard was out on the water shortly after looking for some quality largemouth bass. He had the pleasure of fishing with long-time repeat client Jim Robertson. It was another blessed day on Lake Okeechobee with numbers of bass in the boat. Jim wanted to get on and off the water but enjoy every moment. They adventured out for a quick 4-hour fishing charter on a beautiful day on Lake Okeechobee. The sun was shining and the bass were biting.
Jim caught several bass over 3 pounds with the best being close to 5 pounds. It was a great day and Jim will be back for more in the near future!
The next day, Captain Mark Shepard was back at it out of Belle Glade, FL. He had the pleasure of fishing with extra long-time repeat clients Art and David. They were back here on Lake Okeechobee looking to experience some excellent bass fishing for two days. Lake Okeechobee blessed them with some amazing fish with both artificial and live bait. The majority of fishing was on artificial lures. Wow Factor Crank Baits and topwater baits came in strong with several bass over 5 pounds.
Art and Dave had a great time as always with Captain Mark. Captain Mark is looking forward to their next adventure on the water!
Finally, Captain Rick had the pleasure of fishing with Craig and his son out of Okeechobee City, FL. This awesome father-son duo was traveling from Wisconsin looking to get into some warmer weather. Lake Okeechobee was on the list of outdoor adventures they wanted to embark on. The most successful method on this fishing trip was fishing with wild-caught live shiners. Craig and his son caught some great numbers on their 6-hour fishing trip putting two bass over 5 pounds in the boat. Along with these quality bass, they also caught a largemouth bass in the 3-4 pound range.

Captain Robert Miley had the pleasure of fishing with Dave, his son David Jr, and Derrick. Dave moved down here from Maryland looking for a change of scenery. To get the entire feel of what Florida is all about, they had to get out to Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing. It was an early start to the day, but the fish were biting.
What a Great Day
Fishing conditions were calm, and the wind was not blowing. Captain Miley wanted Dave and his sons to see different parts of Belle Glade, where they departed. They caught fish at every spot they moved to. Grass mats were the main focus of this fishing trip. Live bait was the best method to catch over 20 Florida largemouth bass. They also caught bass on artificial baits, including a soft plastic Senko. The bass was holding around the structure. Mudfish also came out to play and were exciting as they are hard-fighting fish and large.

Shortly after this fishing trip, Captain Robert Alfano explored what Lake Okeechobee had to offer. He adventured out of Okeechobee City, FL, and enjoyed fishing with Dan. Dan was traveling from Carlsbad, New Mexico. While doing so, bass fishing in Florida was a must. Many people travel worldwide and do not know how fantastic fishing is here in Florida.
The most productive method on this fishing trip was wild-caught live shiners. Dan caught 15 quality largemouth bass on his quick 4-hour fishing charter. The biggest bass of the trip was a beautiful 7.5-pound largemouth. When you explore Lake Okeechobee, you can’t ask for more!

One Good Trip to Another
Not long after this fishing trip, Captain Dave Lauer explored Belle Glade, FL, out of Slims Fish Camp. He had the pleasure of fishing with Michael and John. Michael was traveling from Southern Illinois and is a retired firefighter who jumped out of airplanes. John was traveling from Southern Ohio, and looking to spend some time on vacation here in Florida. While doing so, these friends had to go out bass fishing on Lake Okeechobee.
The weather conditions were friendly, and the skies were blue. Scenically, fishing is like fishing under bluebird skies, but that doesn’t always fire up the bass. The bass was not biting as strong as we would have liked, but they managed to land some nice bass. Wild-caught live shiners were the most effective method of catching bass under mats. The biggest bass of the day weighed in at 6 pounds.

Shortly after this fishing trip, Captain George Mrozinski had the pleasure of fishing with repeat clients Jim and Mike. They also were great friends looking to experience Lake Okeechobee while on vacation. Jim and Mike spent 8 hours on the water out of Clewiston, FL catching all their largemouth bass on artificial lures.
They had a great day on the water with concrete action from the first cast to the last. Jim and Mike started the day with some early morning topwater action. As that began to slow down as the sun rose, a Gambler Fat Ace appeared. These guys had a blast reeling in 40 bass on artificial baits in their 8-hour fishing trip. The biggest bass weighed in at just under 6 pounds.
When you are artificial fishing, you can’t beat this action. Jim and Mike will be back for more and Captain George are looking forward to the next opportunity.
Not long after this beautiful fishing trip, Captain Robert Alfano adventured out of Okeechobee City, FL. He had the pleasure of fishing with Tony, traveling from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Tony loves fishing and opted for an artificial fishing trip on the North End of the lake. Captain Rob got him around quality bass fishing, especially with this trip’s rapidly changing conditions.
One unfortunate part about Florida is that the weather can change often. Even with changing conditions, Tony managed to land several-quality bass. You have to stay persistent to have success. Tony is looking forward to his next adventure here in Florida, hopefully with some better Florida weather.

Captain Brian Brown had the pleasure of fishing with Pat and his buddy Kevin. They were traveling from New Jersey to stay in Jupiter, FL for 6 months while the winter blows by. While doing so, bass fishing on Lake Okeechobee is a must out of Okeechobee City, FL. Most of their time is spent golfing and saltwater fishing so now they wanted to change it up. Fortunately, the weather was beautiful on this fishing trip but water temperatures were lower.
The action was strong right off the bat. Pat and Kevin put several quality largemouth bass in the boat. Wild caught live shiners did their magic on this fishing trip. These gentlemen caught 25 bass weighing up to 5 pounds. In order to get around some of these better bass, you have to move around and find them.

Just shortly after this fishing trip, Captain Robert Alfano adventured out with long-time repeat client Ron Powers. Ron was traveling to Florida to get out on Lake Okeechobee. The conditions were tricky on this fishing trip. Water temperatures were refusing to rise but Ron and his friend managed to land several nice largemouth bass.
Ron loves to use live bait on Lake Okeechobee. It is one of the most productive methods especially when conditions rapidly change. Ron and his friend caught 10 decent keeper bass and had a lot of fun with each one. It was a quick 4-hour fishing trip and Ron will be back for more. Captain Rob is looking forward to getting them back on the water.
It was not long after this fishing trip that Captain Mark Rogers adventured out on Lake Okeechobee. He had the pleasure of fishing with Norm and his son Pruitt. When Norm and Pruitt adventured out, the conditions were fantastic. The bass were biting all trip long making for some excellent action.
This father-son duo made it happen with great numbers to the boat. More importantly, they caught some quality largemouth bass. Pruitt caught the biggest bass weighing 6 pounds. Several other bass weighing between 3-4 pounds also were caught.
The outside edge was the main focus on this fishing trip. Wild caught live shiners produced big time on wind-blown spots. Most of these fish were waves of bass moving in to spawn in the shallows. Just shortly after this awesome fishing trip, Captain Brian adventured back out on Lake Okeechobee out of Clewiston, FL. This time, he had the pleasure of fishing with Martin and his wife Renee. They were originally looking to catch crappie on Lake Okeechobee but the crappies just haven’t moved in quite yet. After informing them of this, Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing was their next best option.
We grabbed several dozen wild caught shiners and made this trip happen. The bite was slower than Captain Brian hoped for but sporadic flurries made for an interesting fishing experience. Weather conditions were nice and calm. It was the perfect opportunity for Martin and Renee to enjoy Lake Okeechobee and all it had to offer. They put several nice largemouth bass in the boat.
While doing so, they also got to enjoy the wildlife, birds, and reptiles of Lake Okeechobee. Martin and Renee will be back for more action in the near future. Captain Brian Brown is looking forward to another great adventure on the Big O!

Captain Brian Brown adventured out of Slims Fish Camp on a three-boat fishing charter. Captain Robert Alfano and Captain Mark Rose accompanied Brian on his fishing trip. A total of 6 gentlemen explore what Lake Okeechobee had to offer. There were two anglers on each boat. While traveling from Texas, they wanted to see what bass fishing here in Florida is all about.
Football was what brought them to Florida. They travel around the states to watch different games throughout the season. It was a family fishing trip and everyone was related. Captain Brian had the pleasure of fishing with Marty and Chuck, two brothers looking to have some fun.
Okeechobee Fishing
Colder weather has been rolling through Florida making for interesting fishing conditions. The morning bite has been slower as the temperatures are lower. Our captains made it happen, putting quality bass in the boat. The big females did not come out to play but several quality bass up to 4 pounds were caught. Live bait was the most successful method, especially in colder weather.
Once the weather warmed up, the bass started biting! Everyone had a blast catching bass and is looking forward to coming back to Florida in the near future!
Just shortly after this awesome fishing trip, Captain Dave Lauer had a great fishing charter with another wonderful family. The Buchanan Family traveled from Detroit, Michigan looking to spend some time on the water. Eric and his two sons Derrick and Connor explored what Lake Okeechobee in Belle Glade, FL had to offer. Derrick and Connor were here at a hockey tournament and had to get out on the lake to see what bass fishing in Florida was all about.
The bite was much different than the last charters. The weather was warming up and the bass wanted to eat. Eric, Derrick, and Connor enjoyed using live bait and catching over 25 largemouth bass. The biggest fish weighed 6 pounds with several nice fish in the 3-5 pound class. This is what you come to Lake Okeechobee for.
Okeechobee doesn’t disappoint
When conditions are right, the bass feeds very strongly. Unfortunately, you can’t predict or control how the conditions will be. These gentlemen had a great day on the water and will never forget it. It was not long till Captain Robert Alfano explored Belle Glade, FL. Captain Rob had the pleasure of fishing with Michael and Joe Knutt. They are repeat clients looking to see what was biting on Lake Okeechobee while traveling from Chicago, Illinois. Cold front conditions rolled back through making for an interesting day on the water.
Even though the bite was slower, these gentlemen came in strong putting 12 largemouth bass in the boat. The preferred method for these conditions is wild-caught live shiners. Joe topped the day off with a large female getting ready to spawn weighing in over 6 pounds.
