Luckily, conditions were just right and a large school of bass came into the shallows.
Steve and Taylor caught over 60 Florida largemouth bass on this fishing trip. The action was fast and furious all trip long. Most of the bass weighed between 3-4 pounds. The biggest bass weighed in at over 6 pounds. Wow Factor Crank Baits put a majority of bass in the boat. These crankbaits were designed by Captain Mark and will be on the market soon. The other bass were caught on Bass Assassin Soft Plastics.
Steve and Taylor, as always, had a fantastic day fishing with Captain Mark. They are looking forward to their next adventure on the water.
The same day, Captain Mark Rogers adventured out of Clewiston, FL. He had the pleasure of fishing with Rusty. Rusty was traveling from Minnesota looking to enjoy a day of bass fishing on Lake Okeechobee. Conditions were windy to start making the bait move around and the bass to follow. Wild caught live shiners were the most successful day of catching Florida largemouth bass while Clewiston Bass Fishing.
Rusty had a great time catching bass with Captain Mark. He put numerous bass in the boat weighing between 3-4 pounds. Also, Rusty topped off the day with a 6.5 pound Florida largemouth. This was his personal best and was beyond excited to catch it.

Just shortly after this fishing trip, Captain Brian Brown adventured out on Lake Okeechobee out of Belle Glade, FL. The southeast corner of the Big O produced big time on this fishing trip. Captain Brian had the pleasure of fishing with Mason on an afternoon fishing trip. Wild caught live bait were the preferred method for catching largemouth bass.
Conditions paired up for a fantastic day on the water. A light breeze with cloud cover made for a magical day on the water. Captain Brian took Mason to an area filled with Pennywort mats and caught several nice largemouth bass. After picking away at them, the big bass came out to play. Mason got what he was searching for with a beautiful female bass weighing in at 8 pounds. It was a BIG green panda that put the icing on the cake for a fun afternoon.

Captain Brian Brown had the pleasure of fishing with Travis and his son Nicky. They were traveling from Massachusetts looking to explore what Lake Okeechobee had to offer. Captain Brian focused in the Harney Pond area as it was producing the best fishing trips at the time.
They adventured out on a quick 6-hour fishing trip in the morning. The bite was steady in the morning with wild-caught live shiners. After moving around quite a bit, they found a giant fish. It was a big mudfish or bowfin and not the bass they were hoping for. Travis and Nicky caught over 15 largemouth bass on their fishing trip with most weighing between 2-3 pounds.
For the first time experiencing Lake Okeechobee, this was a great trip. You don’t want to get spoiled on the first trip. One of the best parts for them on top of catching quality bass was that they got to experience the wildlife as well. Travis and Nicky will be back for more action in the near future and Captain Brian is looking forward to it!
The same afternoon, Captain Brian had the pleasure of fishing with Keith and his son EJ. They were traveling to Okeechobee City, FL looking for a bass fishing adventure. It was a quick 4-hour fishing trip with wild-caught live shiners out of Garrad’s Bait and Tackle.
Keith and EJ really enjoyed just being out on Lake Okeechobee. The birds and alligators were active making for an awesome fishing adventure. Keith and EJ caught over 12 largemouth bass in their quick fishing trip. Winds were blowing to start and then they died down, slowing the bite considerably. Some days, it is not the catching that creates memories but the adventure. This wonderful father-son duo will be back for more action in the near future and Captain Brian is looking forward to it!
Just shortly after this fishing trip, Captain Mark Rogers adventured out for a day of Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing. He had the pleasure of fishing with the Kalacky family while they were warming up in Florida. They were traveling from Canada looking to experience what Lake Okeechobee had to offer.
The weather was beautiful and the winds were light on this fishing trip that produced an excellent bite all trip long. They adventured out for a quick 4-hour fishing trip with wild-caught live shiners. The bass were biting from the start of the fishing trip to the end. This amazing family boated over 20 largemouth bass with the best weighing 4-pounds.

They were traveling from Texas looking to get themselves into some Lake Okeechobee Largemouth Bass. This was a bucket list fishing trip for these longtime friends, so they adventured out for 6 hours.
The method of choice on this fishing trip was wild caught live shiners on the north end of the lake out of Okeechobee City. The action started slow but as the day warmed up, action picked up with it. Bryan and Ed found what they were looking for on this fishing charter. Ed landed a big bass on Lake Okeechobee weighing in at 7.5 pounds. Ed and Bryan had a fantastic time on the water and can’t wait till their next adventure.

Captain Brian Brown had the pleasure of fishing with Pat and his buddy Kevin. They were traveling from New Jersey to stay in Jupiter, FL for 6 months while the winter blows by. While doing so, bass fishing on Lake Okeechobee is a must out of Okeechobee City, FL. Most of their time is spent golfing and saltwater fishing so now they wanted to change it up. Fortunately, the weather was beautiful on this fishing trip but water temperatures were lower.
The action was strong right off the bat. Pat and Kevin put several quality largemouth bass in the boat. Wild caught live shiners did their magic on this fishing trip. These gentlemen caught 25 bass weighing up to 5 pounds. In order to get around some of these better bass, you have to move around and find them.

Just shortly after this fishing trip, Captain Robert Alfano adventured out with long-time repeat client Ron Powers. Ron was traveling to Florida to get out on Lake Okeechobee. The conditions were tricky on this fishing trip. Water temperatures were refusing to rise but Ron and his friend managed to land several nice largemouth bass.
Ron loves to use live bait on Lake Okeechobee. It is one of the most productive methods especially when conditions rapidly change. Ron and his friend caught 10 decent keeper bass and had a lot of fun with each one. It was a quick 4-hour fishing trip and Ron will be back for more. Captain Rob is looking forward to getting them back on the water.
It was not long after this fishing trip that Captain Mark Rogers adventured out on Lake Okeechobee. He had the pleasure of fishing with Norm and his son Pruitt. When Norm and Pruitt adventured out, the conditions were fantastic. The bass were biting all trip long making for some excellent action.
This father-son duo made it happen with great numbers to the boat. More importantly, they caught some quality largemouth bass. Pruitt caught the biggest bass weighing 6 pounds. Several other bass weighing between 3-4 pounds also were caught.
The outside edge was the main focus on this fishing trip. Wild caught live shiners produced big time on wind-blown spots. Most of these fish were waves of bass moving in to spawn in the shallows. If you time Lake Okeechobee right, you can get around some quality bass. Norm and Pruitt are looking forward to their next opportunity to get back on the Big O with Captain Mark Rogers.
Just shortly after this awesome fishing trip, Captain Brian adventured back out on Lake Okeechobee out of Clewiston, FL. This time, he had the pleasure of fishing with Martin and his wife Renee. They were originally looking to catch crappie on Lake Okeechobee but the crappies just haven’t moved in quite yet. After informing them of this, Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing was their next best option.
We grabbed several dozen wild caught shiners and made this trip happen. The bite was slower than Captain Brian hoped for but sporadic flurries made for an interesting fishing experience. Weather conditions were nice and calm. It was the perfect opportunity for Martin and Renee to enjoy Lake Okeechobee and all it had to offer. They put several nice largemouth bass in the boat.
While doing so, they also got to enjoy the wildlife, birds, and reptiles of Lake Okeechobee. Martin and Renee will be back for more action in the near future. Captain Brian Brown is looking forward to another great adventure on the Big O!

Captain Mark Rogers had the pleasure of fishing with Jake and his dad. They were traveling and vacationing on the west coast of Florida. While they were here, Florida largemouth bass fishing was a must. So off they went to go explore Alligator Alley with artificial lures.
It was a cool beautiful morning for bass fishing on the Alley. The Everglades was a very productive fishery on this fishing trip. Jake and his dad enjoyed a slow drift down the canal throwing an assortment of baits at the bass. The topwater bite was on whether you wanted to throw poppers or spooks. You can also fish slower on the bottom with sencos or ribbon tail worms.
Jake and his dad had a lot of fun catching a variety of species in the Everglades. They caught a large number of bass along with Oscars, mudfish or bowfin and cichlids. The biggest bass of the trip weighed 4.5 pounds. That is a solid bass for the Everglades. Bigger ones are out there and you can catch one
Just shortly after this awesome fishing trip, Captain Joe Gruny adventured out of Holiday Park. Broward County is another productive fishery for large numbers and handfuls of largemouth bass. Alex was traveling from Argentina to set the hook into some Florida bass.
According to Captain Joe, “Everglades fishing is off the chain.” Alex can most certainly agree as he caught over 45 largemouth bass on his short trip on the water. It was his first time ever catching bass. If you have never caught bass before, explore the Everglades. This destination will not let you down.
Alex had a fantastic time on the water catching a bass weighing up to 6 pounds all on artificial baits. The most productive artificial baits are topwater poppers, flukes, sencos, and worms. You can throw a variety of baits at them and catch some quality bass.

If you have never been to Holiday Park, it is an awesome place to go on a boat ride or watch an alligator show. Captain Mike fished with the siblings Crystal, Bruce and Calvin.
One of the great things about fishing the Everglades is that you get the opportunity to learn new techniques and skills. All the fishing in the Glades is artificial baits. Whether you want to throw soft plastic flukes, sencos or swim baits, you can put big numbers in the boat.
You can also have a lot of success with top water baits like a zara spook, poppers or any bait that throws water.
Crystal, Bruce and Calvin caught over 100 largemouth combined. It was a fish after fish kind of day. Most of the fish were in the 1-3 pound range. The action was amazing for this awesome group. It was a trip they will never forget and will be back for more action.

Andy and Andrew got to experience fishing for largemouth bass catching big numbers. When you fish the Everglades, you can count on catching 50-100 bass. Most of the bass on this fishing trip came on top waters and slow sinking soft plastics. The action was strong all trip long. You don’t have to worry about waking up early when it comes to fishing in the Everglades.
Perfect conditions with a light wind made for a beautiful day on the water. The biggest bass caught weighed 3.5 pounds. That is a nice fish for the Everglades and the bite is only getting better. Captain Mark is looking forward to their next adventure on the water!
