Captain Brian had the pleasure of fishing with Mitchell and his two sons Alex and Zach. They were traveling from Lousiana looking to get in some bass fishing while visiting. When you are looking to get out on Lake Okeechobee, try to allow yourself more time to soak in the scenery. This family enjoyed an 8-hour fishing adventure out of the Harney Pond area.

Their main focus on this trip was using live bait around the Monkey Box. It seems like this has been a very clean area of the lake that has been holding fish. The weather was beautiful and the bass was biting. One of the pleasures of this trip was talking about the differences between Florida and Louisiana fishing.

Mitchell, Alex, and Zach all caught good numbers of bass on this trip. There were not monsters but they were catching healthy males that are a precursor to all the big bass that will be rolling in to spawn soon. The wildlife was abundant making for an awesome day on the water

Just shortly after this fishing trip, Captain Brian adventured back out of Okeechobee City, FL. This time he had the pleasure of fishing with the Armstrong family. Steve and his two boys Zach and Ethan along with his father-in-law Bob explored what Lake Okeechobee had to offer. They were in store for a productive and great day of fishing. While traveling to Disney, take a break from the family and theme parks and explore Lake Okeechobee, which is only a quick drive away.

Live bait was yet again the most successful method to catch the largemouth bass on this trip. It is always nice to get a lot of laughter and jokes when fishing. This family had a great time on Lake Okeechobee. The fish was steady with some nice bass up to 3 pounds. It was a bass-filled day with everyone holding quality fish.
