What a great day Flipping Mats For Largemouth Bass- Lake Okeechobee Belle Glade FL. I had the pleasure to fish with Buddy from New York.
The conditions were perfect and the bluebird skies pushed the bass underneath the mats. Switched to set-out flipping mats with artificial baits because that was what Buddy preferred.
We could not find the big bite that you hope for when you are flipping mats for largemouth on Lake Okeechobee in Florida. But, we did find quite a few average size fish within the 2 to 3-pound range. Overall it was a fantastic trip.
Buddy is looking to possibly come back in March or April and I am looking forward to fishing with him again. That should be right around the time when the sledgehammer starts coming down. I am excited.
