Captain Robert Miley had the pleasure of fishing with Frank. Frank was looking to explore Miami’s Airport Lakes for peacock bass. He loves to fly fish and always wanted to catch a peacock bass on a fly. It was not long into his fishing adventure that Frank got what he was looking for.

Miami Peacock Fishing Report 1When the weather is stable, warm, and the sun is shining, peacock bass fishing in Miami is fantastic. When cold fronts and wind moves in the bite can be slower but if you have patience, you will get around some quality peacock bass.

Frank experience a cooler morning with winds making artificial fishing very interesting. After moving around and letting the day warm, the peacock bass started to bite. Frank caught a nice 2-pound peacock bass on a Lefty Kreh Clouser Minnow with a weighted head.

The bass was suspended and did not want to surface for the flies. Frank still had a great time on the water and is looking forward to his next adventure on the water. Captain Miley will get him around even better fish.

Just shortly after this fishing trip, Captain Joe Gruny had the pleasure of fishing with a wonderful family on a three boat fishing charter. Captain Kirk Osborne and Tim Nichols joined him on this fishing trip. This family was traveling from Michigan looking to catch some quality peacock bass.  Miami Peacock Fishing Report 4

Live bait came in strong and produced some great fishing. Everyone had a fantastic time and everyone was smiling from ear to ear. The bite was on and the bass was biting. This amazing family caught over 20 peacock bass with the biggest weighing between 2-3 pounds.

They are looking forward to their next adventure out in Miami on their next visit. Captain Joe, Kirk, and Tim will be there to assist in creating more memories of a lifetime.

Just shortly after this fishing trip, Captain Miley had the pleasure of fishing with Nicholas and his girlfriend Dyna along with their friend Dan. Nicholas and Dyna were traveling from Nebraska and Dan were coming over from Utah. They were here on vacation looking to get in the Miami Peacock Fishing Report 2outdoors and catch some Florida bass.

These friends were in-store for one EPIC day of peacock bass fishing. Every time you travel to this beautiful destination, this could occur. You never know what is going to bite the end of your line.

After moving around to different spots, Captain Miley found some trophy peacock bass. Nicholas, Dyna, and Dan caught over 10 peacock bass. They caught two trophy fish weighing in at 6.70 pounds and 6.5 pounds. After landing these giants, Dan landed a 3.5 pounder. Even though the bite was slower, these fish made up for it all.

According to Nicholas, Dyna and Dan, this was their best fishing trip ever, especially for peacock bass. Conditions were just right to provide them an excellent time. Captain Miley is looking forward to their next adventure!

The last stop on this tour is the Lake Ida Chain of Lakes in Palm Beach County. Captain Miley had the pleasure of fishing with Darrell and his brother Jerry. Darrell and Jerry explored Lake Ida for 6 hours. They were visiting Florida to watch some football but had to get out on the water as well. The fishing was slow due to colder weather but they managed to catch some decent numbers. These brothers landed 10 largemouth bass along with 3 quality peacock bass weighing between 3-4 pounds.

These gentlemen will be back for more action and Captain Miley is looking forward to getting them back on the water.

Captain Joe Gruny had the pleasure of fishing with Fred and his two sons Richie and Andy. They were traveling to Florida to escape colder weather in New York. Water temperatures dropped on Lake Ida Chain of Lakes due to several cold fronts moving through. Water temps were in the range of 67-70 degrees on this fishing trip. Conditions like such can shut down the peacock bass. While waiting for things to warm up and the sun to come out, Fred, Richie, and Andy picked away at some largemouth bass.

It was not long after this that the sun reached the strength it needed to land a big peacock bass. Andy caught a 4-pound peacock and enjoyed every moment of it. These gentlemen will be back for more action next time they visit.

Just shortly after this awesome fishing adventure, Captain Mike Groshon had the pleasure of fishing with Robb and Tyler. They went out to explore what Lake Ida had to offer them. Luckily, great weather and conditions came after a majority of bad conditions.

Robb and Tyler had a blast reeling in some quality peacock bass with the biggest in the 2-3 pound range. They also enjoyed landing both peacock and largemouth bass. Captain Mike worked hard for them to get on these bass especially when conditions were not completely in their favor.

Dan and Matthew had to move around from spot to spot to find the peacock bass. They picked away at few and were excited to land the numbers they did. It was a great time on the water with nice weather.

Just shortly after this fishing trip, Captain Mike adventured out on Lake Osborne. This time he had the pleasure of fishing with Frank. Frank was traveling from Kentucky and had to get into his first peacock bass. There was no better place to do that than on this beautiful lake.

Even though the water temperatures were still down, the bite was much different. The weather was beautiful with light winds out of the southwest. A slower bite made for a great time to learn more about Frank and share fishing memories with him.  palm beach exotic fishing 2

As the sun came out, the bite got better. The fish were able to acclimate quickly and allow Frank to land several quality peacock bass. Most of the bass were in the 2-3 pound range. The month of November is coming to a close. In the last weeks of this month, several local experts adventured out to explore what the bass was biting on. It has been a strong bite for both peacock bass and largemouth bass in South Florida. All you need is the last fishing charters in November to enjoy some time on the water.

Captain Mike Groshon had the pleasure of fishing with Bill and his grandson Max. They were traveling to South Florida looking to spend some time in the sun. When the weather is perfect and warm, make sure you get out on the water for some healthy peacock bass fishing.

Bill and Max crushed some peacock bass on Lake Ida and largemouth in the Everglades. They adventured out of Holiday Park. The weather on both days was perfect for fishing. Light winds, cool brisk and moderate cloud cover turned on the Everglades bass. Most of the largemouth were in the 1-2 pound range. The spawn hasn’t started yet in the Everglades. Lake Ida yielded some better fish with peacock

bass in the 2-3 pound range.

Bill and Max were out there to just enjoy Florida wildlife and set the hook. They will be back for more of this incredible fishing action! Captain Mike is looking forward to fishing with them again in the future!

Just shortly after this trip, Captain Robert Miley adventured out on the Lake Ida Chain of Lakes. He had the pleasure of fishing with Blaine, Tami, and father-in-law Johnny. Blaine and Tammy were traveling from Chattanooga, Tennessee to visit family here in South Florida. While they were here, they wanted to get out with Johnny and do some fishing. It was a beautiful day for peacock bass fishing. The bite was slow due to the weather but turned on once the sun got high in the sky. The sun pushed away from the cloud cover that allowed the bass to bite. This group caught 10 nice peacock bass. Along with peacock bass, they also caught largemouth bass.

Water temperature was dropping but as the warm weather rolls back in, the fishing will get better. Captain Miley is looking forward to fishing with Blaine, Tami, and Johnny again in the future.

The peacock bass was biting strong on this fishing trip. Everyone in the group was catching them up. Mark, Todd, and Keith caught several quality bass from 2-3 pounds. When it comes to peacock bass fishing those are quality bass due to their strong body structure. It was their first peacock bass and they are extremely excited to come back and catch them up again.

These gentlemen had an absolute blast fishing on Lake Ida. The weather was beautiful making for a great afternoon. A nice breeze and bluebird skies truly made the trip even that more special. Captain Mike is looking forward to fishing with Mark, Todd, and Keith again in the future!

Just shortly after this awesome fishing trip, Captain Mike adventured out on the chain of lakes again. This time he had the pleasure of fishing with Paul who was traveling from the United Kingdom. Paul was coming here to catch the exotic peacock bass. Lake Ida did not disappoint him on this fishing trip.
