Captain John had the pleasure of fishing with David on the Butler Chain. David was traveling from Colorado looking to enjoy the beautiful Florida weather. While doing so, Florida bass fishing was on the menu. David was staying in Orlando and wanted to only travel several miles to his location and the Butler Chain was the perfect fit.

Continued to Get Better

David had a fantastic time while fishing with Captain John. The action was strong with over 25 largemouth bass in the boat in his quick 4-hour fishing adventure. The biggest fish weighed in at 4 pounds. Most of the bass were caught in 15-16 feet of water off a deep break on the outside edge. Several of these Central Florida lakes hold excellent fishing in deeper water.

David is looking forward to his next adventure with Captain John!

Just shortly after this trip, Captain John was back out on Lake Toho. This time, he had the pleasure of fishing with Rob, who was traveling from Virginia. After many days and weeks of trying to get this trip out, we finally made it happen. It was a long time coming. Changing weather conditions made for changes that needed to happen. Rob recently retired and wanted to spend some more time on the water. There is no better place to do it than in Kissimmee, FL!

The first fish was caught on an artificial bait while flipping the cover. After that several fish were caught on a worm in open water focusing on grass lines and beds. A crankbait was also another effective method to catch bass along with a break line or grass line. Rob wanted to learn some new techniques and we made it happen for him. Captain John is a patient man who wants to teach those eager to learn.
