Captain John Leech had the pleasure of fishing with Jeff Bauer and providing this Kissimmee Weekend Fishing Report. John was traveling from Maryland looking to catch some largemouth bass in Central Florida. He adventured out on a quick 4-hour fishing trip on Lake Toho. Luckily, the conditions played right and the bass was biting. John caught decent numbers while fishing with wild-caught live shiners.
Most of the bass were in the weight range of 3-4 pounds. The biggest fish weighed just over 6 pounds. John is looking forward to another awesome day on the water with Captain John in the near future!
Next up Capt Devin
That afternoon, Captain Devin adventured out with Thomas and his son Spencer. They were traveling to Kissimmee, FL to explore what Lake Toho had to offer them. It was a quick 6-hour fishing trip. Thomas and Spencer wanted to fish with artificial baits as well as with live bait. The fishing conditions were definitely different than most days on the water.
Winds were blowing but that did not stop the bass from biting. Thomas and Spencer caught over 40 Florida largemouth bass with the biggest weighing in at 5.5 pounds. Most of the bass were caught shallow around submerged hydrilla. This father-son duo will be back for more action in the near future with Captain Brent!
The next day, Captain Brent went out for an early morning fishing charter on Lake Toho. This time, he had the pleasure of fishing with Norma and her family Michael, Alexis, and Renee. It was a quick 6-hour fishing trip jammed packed with action. The preferred method for catching bass with 4-people on the boat is with live bait. Submerged hydrilla mats were the main focus yet again.
Young Renee landed her a GIANT bass weighing in at 6.24 pounds. This wonderful family caught over 35 bass on their trip. They had a great time fishing on Lake Toho and will be back to explore more of it again soon. Captain Brent is looking forward to their next fishing adventure!!
The same day, Captain John went out on a morning fishing trip on Lake Toho. He had the pleasure of fishing with Patrick and his son on a short 4-hour fishing trip. It has been two years since Patrick fished on Lake Toho last and wanted to come to see how it was fishing. Patrick and his son had a great time on the water while fishing with wild-caught live shiners. They caught roughly 30 Florida largemouth bass.
The first fish was the biggest of the day weighing in at 5 pounds 12 ounces. His son also caught his personal best as well. You truly can’t beat the action on Lake Toho this time of year. Patrick and his son are looking forward to fishing with Captain John again in the near future!
