Captain John Leech is a highly knowledgeable local expert that can put you on some quality fishing for largemouth bass. Captain John had the pleasure to adventure out on two fishing trips on the chain. On the morning trip, Steve, Patrick, and their buddy Jim had a fantastic time exploring a lake they had never been on.

Wild-caught live shiners were the most effective technique and they burned through them fairly quickly. The bite has been fantastic lately. The Butler Chain has several deep water locations that hold largemouth bass all year long. After they are done spawning, they move to these areas following the bait.

Captain John focused on depths from 12-14 ft which is not the usual depth in the state of Florida. Steve, Patrick, and Jim landed several-quality largemouth bass weighing up to 4 pounds. Each day the action gets better and better. We are looking forward to getting them back on the water in the future to catch some even nice largemouth.

In the afternoon, Captain John adventured out with Cole on a quick fishing trip out on the Chain in deep water Orlando fishing again. Cole has never been on the chain and wanted to explore what it could offer him. We were in for another excellent day of fishing with beautiful fishing conditions.

As the summer deep water Orlando fishing month’s role forward, the bass will begin to move into deeper water. Cole caught a number of quality largemouth bass. He was not expecting the action that the bass here on the chain gave out. Shiners were the most effective technique again putting fish in the boat from 1-3 pounds.

Afternoon trips can really be a productive time to come out and go fishing. If you wait later in the afternoon, you are more likely to catch even better fish. Morning and afternoons are the most effective times to get out on the water and land a lunker.
