The Bite was really good on Okeechobee

The Bite was Really good on Okeechobee!

Hey everybody, it’s Captain Dave Lauer.

The bite was really good on Okeechobee, so I just wanted to give you a fishing report for Lake Okeechobee. We burned through 6 dozen golden luscious shiners…we caught a lot of Bass today…I actually lost count…had an 8 pound Bass and two 7 pounds with countless 4 pounders…almost all of them were pre-spawn females with some little ones…but anyway the bite was really good! We had a little front coming in about 10 o’clock didn’t really rain on us but the wind was switching out of the north and the fish started really biting. I had been catching them like that the last couple of days with the southeast wind…the fish are baiting and the fishing is getting really good on Lake Okeechobee so come on down! This is Captain Dave Lauer.

Hello everyone…this is Captain John Leech…this is my fishing report for Lake Tohopekaliga. I had a father Mike and his two sons Nick and Ryan for 3 days of fishing. Day out on Lake Okeechobee with Tom and Deb

Hi Brian,
It was very nice to meet you and spend the day fishing. I was glad you took the time with Deb to teach her some of the basics of fishing. She really liked it, and now I can buy fishing gear for Christmas. I think we will be out fishing quite a bit from now on. She said she couldn’t believe she held the Bass and said maybe she would try baiting a hook with a worm. My fishing days can begin again. We had a great day. Sorry I couldn’t land that 10# one for you, but I tried. I think we may want to do it again next year, if so, I will get a hold of you.

Till our next adventure, keep the collection of Crow Bait going, and maybe I could get the privilege of using one.

Thanks again,
Tom & Deb

Cheyenne having caught 16 of the Bass Herself

Cheyenne having caught 16 of the Bass Herself

This is Captain Mark Shepard with your Lake Okeechobee fishing report… Well, folks out on the water with some return clients Mike, Zack, and his girlfriend Cheyenne… Just super cool kids are both in high school and Cheyenne smoked them today! She’s left both guys sitting in the dark…We used live bait for fishing today and a little bit of artificial. When you’re on the backside of the moon, it’s a little bit slower numbers. You know we have to grind them out. Numbers weren’t too bad, we had 25 fish on live bait but Cheyenne had 16 of the Bass herself. She smoked them and she got the biggest one and we caught some really great fish, just a super day! The weather was pretty decent with a little breezy, very comfortable this morning… We’re looking to do this again tomorrow looking forward to another adventure and see if we can even get some bigger ones! It’s pretty nice when first time ever fishing Okeechobee and this young lady whooped these guys who are really good bass fishermen…It was just fun to watch!

30 Bass in a 6 hour period!

30 Bass in a 6 hour Period up to 5-1/2 Pounds

This is Captain Steve Niemoeller with your fishing report for St Johns River…I took one of my repeat customers, Ray, from Jacksonville and one of the guys that work for him out on the St Johns River today.  We probably had one of our better days, we caught around 30 Bass in a 6 hour period. We had Bass up to 5 and a half pounds, really had a great time!

The first time that Brian who works for Ray had ever gone bass fishing. So he really had a good time… Ray comes down with me about 4 times a year, he goes out with me every time and today was one of the better times.  I know that Ray will be coming back and probably be bringing Brian with him.
