High Water levels On Lake Okeechobee
This is Capt Mark Shepard with your Lake Okeechobee fishing report. Well, folks out on the lake with Dennis one of my favorite clients a lot of fun he comes down a couple of times a year.
We always have great adventures coming into Sept; it’s a little bit hot, so we got out there for the morning bite. But we had a lot of fun, and we caught some nice fish, and we still got one day to go.
I just wanted to give you guys a little catch that the lake is at 15 feet. I don’t like the lake this high, but it makes navigation easy the water clarity looks good. Everything looks pretty good; the first day he was here, it was a little overcast, and we just crushed them.
That’s it for now; for all your freshwater fishing adventures, go to BassOnline thank you.

Lake Okeechobee South Side Bass Fishing Trip
This is Capt Mark Shepard with your Lake Okeechobee fishing report.
Well, folks over the last few weeks we have had a ton of fun on light tackle light line.
Doing a variety of different types of fishing from topwater to crankbaits plastic worms and a little bit of live bait.
Not doing a whole lotta live bait been mostly doing artificial having a great time out there on the water.
Some days the numbers have been really good and we had a few days that were a little tough but it’s still been overall very good fishing.
Today out on the water with a couple of folks from Pennsylvania we ended up getting an 8 pounder a 5 a 4 some really good quality fish.
We did a little live bait in the morning and then we finished up with soft plastics which was fantastic picking up numbers.
A lot of good opportunities out there this is Capt Mark Shepard all the best.

Okeechobee Bass Fishing Adventure
Hey folks, this is Capt Mark Shepard with your Lake Okeechobee report. The past week has been a lot of fun this is my favorite time of year doing light tackle and top water fishing. I’m out on the water with Bill and his wife Martha first time being out on the Big O. These folks wanted to see what this wild shiner fishing is all about. Let me tell you, we got out there doing a short 4-hour trip. About three and a half, but ill tell you what we smashed them.
We caught huge numbers, we ran through all the bait when we ran out of bait. They were like hey, we have caught enough fish this is the most fish I’ve caught in my life I’m ready to go. We had a pair of 7s we had a lot of 5 and 6-pounders, just incredible. I couldn’t bait the hooks fast enough, and this is not shiner season, but we just crushed them.
I’m telling you folks, if you get a chance to come down here this time of year in the warm months. You don’t wanna do a full day it’s crazy a 4 to 6-hour trip is fantastic. It is incredible to get out there and do some light tackle fishing. If you do bring some shiners, hey, your adventure starts here, Capt Mark Shepard all the best.

Incredible Bass Fishing Trip On Lake Okeechobee
Capt Mark Shepard here with your Lake Okeechobee fishing report. Well, folks, the last three days, I got to spend some time with long-time clients Dustin and Colin been with me for a long time; great guys. We hit the perfect storm, weather coming in, fronts coming in, everything was just right, and we smashed them. The third day was a bit slow, but we caught them up to 7 pounds and saw good numbers. The first two days were just off the charts, with huge numbers of fish over 5 pounds and nonstop action as fast as we could.
We were doing all live bait, and after we ran out of live bait, we did a little bit of artificial and caught some that way too. What an incredible three days, the weather came together with the moon phase, and everything was just right, and it was a slugfest. This is Capt Mark Shepard; all the best, everybody.
