Hop on board his 22’ Ranger bass boat that can easily accommodate groups of up to 4 anglers on board and fishing at the same time. The boat comes equipped with full safety and navigational features so you can fish with peace of mind.

A major highlight to fishing in Lake Erie is for giant smallmouth bass and walleye, Capt John can help you catch either or both. You can sight cast for smallmouth bass with artificial lures, all of which the captain will provide. Whether you want to throw grubs, drop shots, jerk baits, or topwater baits, you can have a fishing trip you’ll never forget – and don’t worry, you’ll know what all of these are after a trip with Capt. John.

Capt. Mark will let you know about changing regulations for what you can and cannot keep if that is of interest to you. The smallmouth bass trips are not charters for filling up the freezer, but for catching the most popular sportfish in the area. If you’re looking for filling the cooler, Capt John can do that as well during a Walleye trip.

“ Can't say enough about Capt. John Miller, he took us to all the good spots and as soon as the fishing slowed down off we went to a new spot and he seemed genuinely excited every time we hooked a fish. We booked a 6 hr trip and after 6 hrs he told us he had nothing else to do so let's just keep fishing. We stayed out for an extra 5 hrs and only came in when the sun started setting. After we used all the live bait he set us up with some scented worms and we actually doubled our fish total. I can't think of anything more he could have done, top marks all around.”

“ We had an awesome outing with Capt. John. He was very accommodating and wanting to make sure we had a great experience fishing. Right from the start – he was ready to go even before we arrived. He had went out earlier to check the spots we were to be fishing. I booked this trip as a surprise to my wife and Capt. John knew it and wanted to make it a special time for us. He was diligent in finding us the right spots to fish and he was in communication with Capt. Mark as well keeping up on the fishing reports. We had an enjoyable and fun time with him and didn’t realize how fast time was going. We caught a lot of small-mouth bass as well as perch and rock bass and I can “truly” say that you should have seen some of the ones that got away! Capt. John was so excited for us catching bass that he just extended our time and wanted to see us keep catching. We would highly recommend going out with Capt. John and we are looking forward to fishing with him again.”
