Capt Robert Miley is an experienced full-time fishing guide in South Florida. With over 30 years of fishing expertise, he’s your go-to guide for exploring the best way to catch peacock bass in Florida. Originally from Oregon and a military veteran, Capt Robert now calls Miami, Florida, his home.
If you’re eager to experience the finest Miami fishing, Capt Robert Miley is your expert. He’s widely recognized as the Peacock “King” and specializes in catching a variety of species, including largemouth bass, peacock bass, snakehead, clown knife fish, and cichlids. Enjoy a comfortable and high-end fishing trip aboard his spacious 21-foot Nitro boat powered by a reliable 250 HP Mercury engine, ensuring both safety and speed. The boat is equipped with advanced navigational electronics, including GPS and a fish finder. It also features power poles to lock onto prime fishing spots. Custom fishing seats guarantee a relaxing day on the water, and there’s ample room in the cooler for any additional supplies you’d like to bring along. Captain Miley was great. Our trip was after a cold front and the fishing was slow but he never gave up. He definitely went out of his way to get us on active fish.

Trip of a lifetime I had a trip of a lifetime! Captain Bob was a pleasure to spend the day with. I caught loads of fish with his guidance even though the canals had gotten 10 inches of rain in the days prior to my trip. Fishing for peacock bass in the Snapper Creek canal was the best part of my trip to Miami. We don't have those fish in Montana where I'm from and they fight like crazy. Captain Bob was very patient with me as I felt with snags and line issues throughout the day. His 25 plus years of experience were not lost on me as I pulled in bass after bass. I would go back on that trip in a heartbeat and will carry the memories of that day with me always. read moreread less

Trip of a lifetime I had a trip of a lifetime! Captain Bob was a pleasure to spend the day with. I booked a trip with Captain Bob Miley and we fished the canals in south Florida for peacock bass. It was nonstop action and Bob was very knowledgeable. About our experience with your company Just thought you would like to hear about our experience with your company. What a great way to end the vacation in South Florida. Right from the info given at Bait and Tackle to dealing with Tim, Lori, and then with Bob of BassOnline.com the service was excellent. We were given options and chose to go after the Peacock Bass in the canals of Miami. First of all, Tim’s an Ace. We were catered to, fishing styles were explained and it was all smooth. We Smacked them. Right from the first cast, the action was great. We would see peacock Bass boiling on the surface, slide over, and catch fish every cast for half an hour. WOW !! Peacock, Largemouth, and Jaguar all day long. Shirley and I lost count when we passed 35 fish. Double WOW !! Our day was perfect and only got better when we pulled into this little Cuban Restaurant right on the canal Sonia’s Restaurant. What a shore lunch!! Thank goodness the fishing was great because if it wasn’t I could have stayed there for the rest of the afternoon and been perfectly happy. The afternoon was just as good as the morning. Not the same #s but some great large Peacocks and boy do they fight. All said and done what a great experience. Thanks to everyone at Bass Online and Tim and Bob.

Bucket list fishing My son and I had an outstanding day with Capt Bob Miley. It seemed he could put us on peacocks effortlessly. When we had caught a ton of peacocks we asked him if we could try for some clown knives. He took us to another spot, and sure enough, we both got our knives. Could not have been a more perfect day. Capt Bob is a great guy to fish with, very knowledgeable about the wildlife and the area and just a fun guy to be with. Can’t wait to do it again.

Bucket list fishing My son and I had an outstanding day with Capt Bob Miley. It seemed he could put us on peacocks effortlessly. Top notch Captain Robert Miley is the BEST! My son and I went peacock bass fishing in Miami with Captain Robert Miley on January 1st, 2018. I will start by talking about fishing and then I will talk about Captain Robert Miley. Captain Miley's boat is immaculate and his gear is top-notch. He had everything ready for us and he was also early. He knew all the good spots and was obviously very experienced. He went way beyond for us. Recent hurricanes fell a lot of trees in the canals we were fishing in yet that did not deter Captain Miley. He navigated around the trees and debris risking damage to his boat to get my son and me to the best spots. He only had inches literally, but he was so skilled he was able to do it. We caught a good amount of Peacock Bass and my son caught a monster 6 lb peacock bass. I wish I could post a picture of it. If you could see the look on my son's face you would know what I mean. Now about Captain Robert Miley the man. He was kind, gentle, funny, and entertaining. He was patient, caring, interested, and engaging. If you could see how he treated my son and how he made us feel you would know what I mean. Captain Robert Miley is the man I would love my son to become, the man I would like to be. He is the father I never knew but wish I had. Don't go fishing with Captain Miley just because he is good at fishing. There was NEVER a problem, we stopped at the bait shop each morning, and I bought the shinners. All one has to do is read what is expected of you, it is on their website. Anyway, a dream come true. I was picked up each morning on time at my hotel and returned that evening, that was a BIG plus!! And when the guide says he will be there at 6 am, he was there at 6 am. Anyway caught LOTS of fish, only the guide and myself on the boat so we just had FUN, this is the way I wanted it also. Trip of a lifetime I had a trip of a lifetime! Captain Bob was a pleasure to spend the day with. I caught loads of fish with his guidance even though the canals had gotten 10 inches of rain in the days prior to my trip. Fishing for peacock bass in the Snapper Creek canal was the best part of my trip to Miami. We don't have those fish in Montana where I'm from and they fight like crazy. Captain Bob was very patient with me as I felt with snags and line issues throughout the day. His 25 plus years of experience were not lost on me as I pulled in bass after bass. I would go back on that trip in a heartbeat and will carry the memories of that day with me always. read moreread less

Trip of a lifetime I had a trip of a lifetime! Captain Bob was a pleasure to spend the day with. I caught loads of fish with his guidance even though the canals had gotten 10 inches of rain in the days prior to my trip. Fishing for peacock bass in the Snapper Creek canal was the best part of my trip to Miami. We don't have those fish in Montana where I'm from and they fight like crazy. Captain Bob was very patient with me as I felt with snags and line issues throughout the day. His 25 plus years of experience were not lost on me as I pulled in bass after bass. I would go back on that trip in a heartbeat and will carry the memories of that day with me always.

About our experience with your company Just thought you would like to hear about our experience with your company. What a great way to end the vacation in South Florida. Right from the info given at Bait and Tackle to dealing with Tim, Lori, and then with Bob of BassOnline.com the service was excellent. We were given options and chose to go after the Peacock Bass in the canals of Miami. First of all, Tim’s an Ace. We were catered to, fishing styles were explained and it was all smooth. We Smacked them. Right from the first cast, the action was great. We would see peacock Bass boiling on the surface, slide over, and catch fish every cast for half an hour. WOW !! Peacock, Largemouth, and Jaguar all day long. Shirley and I lost count when we passed 35 fish. Double WOW !! Our day was perfect and only got better when we pulled into this little Cuban Restaurant right on the canal Sonia’s Restaurant. What a shore lunch!! Thank goodness the fishing was great because if it wasn’t I could have stayed there for the rest of the afternoon and been perfectly happy. The afternoon was just as good as the morning. Not the same #s but some great large Peacocks and boy do they fight. All said and done what a great experience. Thanks to everyone at Bass Online and Tim and Bob.

Peacock Bass with Bob Miley We had a great experience with Bob Miley fishing for peacock bass in Key Largo. Bob knows bass fishing and is an interesting guy to get to know between the bites. We highly recommend Bob and BassOnline. We plan on fishing with Bob again the next time we're down.
Good fishing Experience We just had our repeat fishing guide with Captain Robert Miley and we had a blast catching quality fish once again. We caught a lot on a half day trip and reeled in 3 species of fish. We caught 2 peacock bass that were more than four pounds with the heaviest one weighing at four pounds and eleven ounces. Captain Robert knows where the fish are and is very experienced in getting them to bite. He is always a pleasure to work with. He is professional and patient, which made it a very enjoyable trip.
