Soon after the last trip, Rob and his son Jacob were on the prowl for their personal best and Lake Okeechobee blessed them on this trip. They also have fished with me for a very long time and are always a blast to get out on the water.

While vacationing in Fort Myers, they had no choice but to hop in the car and travel to Clewiston for a bass fishing charter. Lake Okeechobee is their favorite bass fishing destination for valuable reasons. We traveled a little from Clewiston where the bite was stronger and it was well worth it. One of the benefits of fishing out of Clewiston is that you can get to several different destinations on the lake quickly.

The bite was strong at Slims Fish Camp on this trip and that’s where we traveled to. Jacob landed an 8.25-pound largemouth bass on their Trophy Okeechobee Fishing Charter. Live wild-caught shiners were the most effective bait.

Captain Mark is looking forward to fishing with Rob and Jacob again in the future.

Finally, Bill Cooper adventure out of Clewiston with Captain Mark on another great fishing adventure. Bill is a repeat client that loves to bass fish on Lake Okeechobee. He also has been fishing in multiple different locations especially in the Everglades when it gets hot!

Another Good Day

Lake Okeechobee produced for him with great numbers. Bill is a super great guy and is always a pleasure to fish with. Water levels were dropping on this fishing trip but will soon rise as the rain continues to come down. Bill caught fish up to 4 pounds on his fishing charters. He spent two days on the water with Captain Mark.

Captain Brian Brown had the pleasure of fishing with Michael and his two boys Tyler and Joshua. Michael, Tyler and Joshua had a great time with each other on the boat. Florida bass fishing is a great way to enjoy some family time. When you get to experience something new, it is even better. Walleye fishing is what they normally fish for up in Minnesota. They are planning another trip back down here in the summer months and we look forward to fishing with them again.

Nothing beats a quick 4-hour fishing trip landing several-quality largemouth bass. Family Fishing as such truly brought back childhood memories for Captain Mark. “It was an adventure of a lifetime and I was honored to be a part of it.” Captain Mark will be looking forward to their next adventure on the water. Okeechobee is Special

Okeechobee City is also another fantastic destination to take a Lake Okeechobee Family Fishing trip. Captain Mark Rogers was out on the water with the Merkel Family while they were traveling from Canada. They had a lot of fun bass fishing Lake Okeechobee with wild-caught live shiners.

There was a slight breeze which helped the bite turn on and cool down this warm fishing day. It was a great bite with fish all day long. The Merkel Family landed over 20 bass with two great ones weighing 5.5 and 4.5 pounds. It was also their first time fishing Lake Okeechobee which made it a special trip.

Everyone caught bass on the Lake Okeechobee family fishing trip and they are looking forward to coming back to fish it again in the future. Lake Okeechobee will continue to be a great destination to take your family or loved ones on a fishing adventure of a lifetime. I had the pleasure of fishing with Bill and his grandson Nate. Nate loves to go bass fishing and is truly motivated to make something of himself in the industry. He also wants to serve his country in the Army. Nate is also part of a fishing team in College and loves to collegiate fish.

We had a great day on the water in our short time out. The conditions changed on us and it rained quite a bite. One benefit to that was that it did not stop the fish from biting. We caught some great numbers with bass weighing up to 4 pounds.
