Fishing on Lake Okeechobee is very good right now. The water level has been climbing steadily and is currently at 14.7 feet. This is allowing us to get our boats into areas we could not get to a couple of months ago. Jigs and topwater baits are working well. We are fishing them along weed likes and inside the traditional spawning flats. The air temperatures are beginning to drop a little bit also, which is making for very comfortable conditions on the water. Its a great time to come and see how Bueatiful Lake Okeechobee is!
Until next time this is Captain Jason Young wishing you “tight lines”

All Throwing Artificial

Hi everyone, Captain Devin Dickerson here. This my fishing report for May 12th, 2015, was at the Butler Chain of Lakes.

Today I had Rob and Dave, what a great time these guys were. We caught some numbers today too! I think around 30 up to 6 and a half pounds…all throwing artificial. We caught them on just about everything today: topwater, swimbaits, worms, senkos…it really didn’t matter. On Thursday we are going to the land of the giants…” Lake Toho” in Orlando – Florida.

Until next time…see you on the water and take a kid fishing.
