Great Morning Landing (91) Ninety-One Bass

Yeah. Hi, this is Captain John Leech,

Went out fishing today with my buddy Jim Sweatman and his friend Ray Peters out this morning.

We had a great morning landing (91) ninety-one bass. Caught then all on different things, it was just one of those days. The best lure at the end of the day had to be the Texas rig worm. The fish seem to be holding on the outside of the submerge grass line, which ended up being the main pattern all day.

With the cold front coming to today the fish bit really good early and then started to tighten up as the sun got higher and higher. Look for the next couple of days after this cold front to be a little tougher fishing. But then the first of the week the weather comes back to normal and look for these fish to start to chew really well…so let’s go fishing!

That’s it for now, tight lines Capt John Leech

Captain John Leech another Central Florida fishing report

Captain John Leech another Central Florida fishing report

Hi this is Captain John Leech another Central Florida fishing report.

I went out fishing this morning with a long time buddy of mine, mainly just for fun but also to look for some more fish. This time of the year it is very important, as the fish are moving pretty rapidly with the wind and bait movement. First thing in the morning the fish were school pretty strong till about 9:30am, we caught about 22 to 25 fish from that school.

We fished primarily a Carolina Rig and caught several on a new top-water plugin from Owner Hooks…it worked fantastic.

That’s it for today, tight lines Captain John Leech

Fishing is still red hot in Kissimmee

Hi, this is Captain John Leech and this is your fishing report for October 9th.

Fishing is still red-hot in Kissimmee. I took Gary Carpenter who’s a buddy of mine from down in the Ft Myer area. Comes up fishing with me on a regular basis, carried him fishing and we had about (45) forty-five fish. We caught the liven day lights out of them, he had a good enough time he’s coming back again this Tuesday.

That’s it for now…good fishing it’s been Captain John Leech.

About Lake Kissimmee

Lake Kissimmee covers some 38,000 acres from the mouth of the Kissimmee River on the north end to the exit of the river near US Highway 60 on the south end.

lake kissimmee fishing, kissimmee bass fishingSpecializing in largemouth bass, bluegill, black crappie and shellcracker. Part of the Kissimmee Chain of lakes. Expansive stands of native aquatic grasses at Philadelphia Point, North Cove and Brahma Island provide anglers with cover to flip plastic baits or slow-troll golden shiners for spawning bass during the winter and spring. Rattling crankbaits, soft jerkbaits and Texas or Carolina-rigged plastic worms fished in open-water or along edges of vegetation are productive during summer and fall. Fly fishermen have good success wade fishing along the miles of shoreline on Lake Kissimmee. Lake Kissimmee is rich with wildlife, including bald eagles, white tailed deer, bobcats, turkeys and big alligators.
