Florida Vacation Fishing Trip on Lake Okeechobee for Largemouth Bass

Florida Vacation Fishing Trip

When you are traveling to the Sunshine State, enjoy some time on the water. Florida Fishing is one of the best ways to spend time with your family. Don’t miss out on a Florida Vacation Fishing Trip on Lake Okeechobee next time you visit the state.

I had the pleasure of fishing with Mike, his wife Amy, and their son Cal. They were traveling from Illinois on vacation and wanted to catch some quality largemouth bass. Dad was traveling from PA. We fished out of Big Water bait and tackle near Harney Pond.

While they were enjoying the sunshine and warmth, great numbers of largemouth bass were caught. Even though the start of our trip was tough, we still managed to put some quality in the boat. It was not a bad trip for their first time being on Lake Okeechobee.

We lost track of how many fish were caught but a personal best largemouth bass was a memory they would not forget. This bass weighed 6.5 pounds and came with many other nice fish. Lake Okeechobee is in great shape and a fantastic season is ahead.

If you are looking to get out of the colder weather, come on down to Florida and enjoy all it has to offer. I look forward to having another great trip out with Mike, Amy, and Cal again soon.

Don’t miss out on a trip of a lifetime and the fish of a lifetime here on Okeechobee. Until next time, tight lines!
