Mike & Mike Fishing Lake Okeechobee For Monster Largemouth Bass
This is Capt Mark Shepard with your Lake Okeechobee fishing report.
Here is your Mike & Mike Fishing Lake Okeechobee For Monster Largemouth Bass report. Well, folks, it was a really great day out on the water. Had the pleasure to fish with one of my friends, Mike, who brought a friend with him named Mike and his wife.
I could not have asked for a better day on the lake. We had over 50 fish on the boat. Some of them were small, but the best part about it, most of them were between the 2 and 4-pound range. We caught some bigger ones as well.
It just turned out to be a dream day. A 9 1/2 pound, an 8 1/4 pound, and a bunches of 6’s too. Lake Okeechobee is on fire this time of year, especially pre-front.
Here is a pro tip for you! Some key structures to look out for are any outside edges with isolated grass. The Largemouth love to stage around or in that grass.
We also do crappie fishing down here. My good buddy, Matt herring, an elite pro was here with me for a few days, and we’ve been searching for crappie. It’s been a lot of fun, the fishing is awesome and they are delicious.
The season is looking great. Don’t miss out on your opportunity to fish Lake Okeechobee folks, have a wonderful day.
