I had the pleasure of fishing with Kelly and his son Jake. We had an action-packed fishing charter on Airport Lakes in Miami. Peacock bass were biting in big numbers.
Domestic shiners were the most effective bait to put these peacock bass in the boat. Kelly and Jake also caught several peacock bass on small jerk baits. They put 45 bass in the boat with no big ones weighing over 3.5 pounds.
We had an awesome day of fishing and I am looking forward to fishing with these amazing people again in the future. Fish are continuing to make a transition up the water column which will allow you to catch even more and bigger ones.
