Fishing with Captain John Leech
“I had the pleasure of fishing with Scott, who was traveling to Florida for some bass fishing. Lake Toho located in Kissimmee, FL was the perfect place to explore. Being a guide, family bonding is always great but getting a solo angler out on the water has its advantages as well.
Scott was looking to cash in on some bass fishing action right here on Lake Toho. It is always nice to help an angler dial in on his fishing skills and get them on some quality largemouth bass. Scott enjoyed his quick 6-hour fishing trip catching over 30 Florida bass.
Lake Toho showed its true colors on this trip with nice 6-pound bass and several other fish in the 3-5 pound range. I got to show Scott around the lake and let him explore different areas. Most of the spots produced a decent bite.
I am looking forward to seeing Scott back here next year for some more bass fishing action!” – Captain John Leech
Fishing with Captain Brent Nelson
“Cold fronts here in Florida can really make for an interesting day on the water. Even though, as a captain, I would love to have perfect weather all year long, it just is not a reality. Getting out on the water during tough conditions inevitably makes me a much better guide.
I had the pleasure of fishing with David and his wife after father Son fishing Kissimmee. They were traveling from Ontario Canada looking to enjoy some Florida weather. Unfortunately, they brought down some cooler weather which made for slower fishing conditions.
During post-frontal conditions, the fish get active in the morning and then slowly shut off. You have to find some deep water pockets and vegetation that retain heat. David and his wife enjoyed the learning process and landing some solid bass on their fishing trip.
Wild-caught live shiners were the most effective way to explore Lake Toho on this fishing adventure. They may not have caught a giant largemouth but spending quality time on the water was the most rewarding experience for them!
Looking forward to seeing them again soon!” – Captain Brent Nelson
Fishing with Captain Bill Goudy Jr on Lake Toho:
“I had the ultimate pleasure of getting out on the water with Tom and his son. They were traveling from Indiana looking to experience something different. When coming to Central Florida, you have endless opportunities for things to do. Most travelers decide to explore what Florida bass fishing can do for them.
The action was productive on this fishing trip for Tom and his son. They caught over 15 Florida largemouth bass in their quick 4-hour fishing trip. Calm and cloudy conditions made for a strong bite early in the day. As well, they caught some quality fish with the biggest in the 3-4 pound range.
March will continue to produce some great fishing here in Central Florida. Several lakes that I fish are starting to turn on. If you are looking for a fantastic fishing adventure and some nice weather, March is the perfect time to visit!
I am looking forward to getting Tom and his son back out on the water again!” – Captain Bill Goudy Jr
