Captain Brent Nelson had the pleasure of fishing with Kent and his wife. They were traveling to Central Florida looking to enjoy some time with family as well as get some bass fishing in. Just before this fishing trip there plane touched down. They had to race here in order to make it and get on the bass.
It was not long until we got on the fish. Captain Brent did everything he could in order to prevent and dodge rainstorms on the way to their first spots. The action was hot and heavy right from the start. All the fish were caught using wild-caught live shiners. This is the best method to partake in if you are looking to catch some big numbers and quality of largemouth bass.
Kent and his wife both caught their personal best Florida largemouth bass. The largest fish weighed close to 6 pounds. You truly can’t beat the action here in Central Florida. They are looking forward to getting back on the water with Captain Brent again soon!
Just shortly after this amazing fishing trip, Captain John Leech adventured out Lake Toho Bass Fishing. Clifford and his son Christian were looking to cash in on the action here in Central Florida. Christian was starting at UCF and they wanted to get out on the water while they still could this summer.
Clifford and Christian are both avid anglers. They went out in search of some big bass on artificial baits. It was a great trip with great numbers in the boat. The most effective artificial bait was a Texas rigged speed worm. Christian knew how to work the worm just right in order to have some success.
Lake Toho has been very productive lately and will continue this pattern through the end of the year. Clifford and Christian caught 22 largemouth bass with the biggest weighing in at 4 pounds. They were ecstatic to spend this time on the water with each other as well as catch some nice bass.
Captain Brent Nelson is looking forward to the next opportunity to get out on the boat with this father-son duo again!

One of the best parts of being a fishing captain is spreading the joys of fishing. Just shortly after the previous fishing trip, Captain John had the pleasure of fishing with Rick and his son. Rick was celebrating his son’s birthday with some quality time on the water. They were traveling from Virginia and hoping for some bass fishing action.

When you see a young man light up and smile while catching bass, it can make your day, week, and month. There is no better experience. Kevin’s son had an absolute blast catching largemouth bass on Lake Toho. They landed 20 bass weighing up to 5 pounds. It was a successful day on the water and they are looking forward to getting back out there and doing it again in the future!

Captain Brent Nelson had the pleasure of fishing with John, James, JD, and Cliff. They had a blessed morning of bass fishing on Lake Toho. These gentlemen were traveling from Atlanta, Georgia looking to catch some quality bass. When you adventure out on a 6-hour fishing trip, you have to know that you are going to catch some good numbers, especially during these summer months.
Wild-caught live shiners were the most effective bait on this fishing trip. When you have a lot of people on the boat, it can get difficult to throw artificial baits. These gentlemen while Lake Toho Bass Fishing putting nearly 50 largemouth bass in the boat. Most of these bass were in the weight range of 3-4 pounds with the largest weighing in at 5 pounds.
It was a great day on the water and one of their best days ever. Lake Toho is producing especially during these summer months. Captain Brent is looking forward to fishing with these guys again in the future. They said they could not wait to come back next year!

Just shortly after this amazing fishing trip, Captain John Leech had the pleasure to go out fishing with John and his son. They wanted to explore the Greater Orlando area on the Butler Chain of Lakes fishing guide. This clear beautiful lake has everything you can imagine from wildlife to incredible views.
Weather can be very unpredictable during these summer months. Summer rain and thunderstorms have been pounding the system but luckily we did not get it to bad. When the rain came, we were able to hide and fish under structures like bridges and docks.
John and his son had an absolute blast of a time catching bass. Just as the rainstorms passed, the bass began to school up. You could see over 30 bass chasing and busting the surface of the water. This is one of the most incredible sights you can ever lay your eyes on. If you love to catch bass, this is heaven.

While they were here, it was a must to get out bass fishing. She has been stationed in Gauntanamo Bay in the past. It was amazing to get the chance to hear all the neat stories from her profession and we thank her for all that she does!
Mercy and Nick had an amazing day on Lake Toho. Largemouth Bass were schooling at all of our fishing spots. We caught fish at every location we traveled too. You can’t beat this summer time action. They really enjoyed their fishing trip and the great conversations they had with Captain John.

It was not long after this fishing trip that Captain John went out with another amazing family. Joe, his son Jamie and his mom were looking to get hooked up Lake Toho Bass Fishing. Jamie was 7 years old and had an absolute blast catching fish. You always got to love when you can catch quality bass when you come fishing in Central Florida. They were traveling from Delaware on vacation looking for a great time in the outdoors.
It was a short 4 hour fishing trip. We went through 6 dozen shiners but caught fish on both live bait and artificial baits. They had a great day on the water with non-stop action. It was a blast and a struggle to keep up with the bite. When the action gets this hot, you have to come cast a line in the water. You just never know what the result will be!
Captain John is looking forward to fishing with Joe, his mom and Jamie again in the future!
