Fly Fishing Smallmouth Bass is something unique you can do when you are visiting Lake Erie. The Lake is heating up and is a great place for an adventure or getaway.
I had the pleasure of fishing with Steve and April, a married couple traveling from Pittsburg, PA.
We had a fantastic day of smallmouth bass fishing. The weather was beautiful and the action was on fire the whole trip. The bass kept coming in the boat.
Steve and April have never caught this many bass before. They put over 50 bass in the boat. April was in luck and caught her personal best smallmouth bass weighing 4.96 pounds.
They got tired of catching them with mechanical and switched to fly fishing. They smashed them on the fly too.
According to Steve and April, Lake Erie holds some of the best quality smallmouth bass they had ever seen.
Smallmouth Bass are beginning to bed up which is a perfect time for sight fishing here on Lake Erie.
Steve and April had a blast Bass Fishing Lake Erie and I am looking forward to fishing with them again.

Early Summer Flat Fishing
Smallmouth bass is making their way to their spawning grounds on Lake Erie in Pennsylvania. Presque Isle Bay is home to some of the BEST Early Summer Flat Fishing.
Today, I had the pleasure of fishing with Mike, Eric, and his son Jesse.
It was truly a beautiful day and the conditions were in our favor. The winds were calm and we were able to locate fish.
We caught around 20 smallmouth bass on drop shots, tubes, and senkos. These are some of the most effective techniques for bass up here. Most all the fish were right at 4 lbs or better.
The bass is on the flats and is in the process of spawning. They are in 2 to 3 feet of water.
These gentlemen had a blast of a day catching quality smallmouth bass. They were amazed at the quality of the fish we were catching. It was some of the best they’ve ever seen.

Presque Isle Bay Bass Fishing
Presque Isle Bay Bass Fishing is just getting started this season. It is that time of year the smallmouth bass are moving off the main lake and into their bedding grounds.
Today, I had the pleasure to fish with Jim and his brother in law Bob from Saint Mary’s, PA.
The conditions did not play in our favor all day. It was an extremely windy day but we still managed to catch about 20 quality smallmouth bass.
Unfortunately, we lost our two biggest fish at the boat. They were both well over 4 lbs.
Most of the day we fished jerk baits. A couple of fish came on drop shot as well. All the fish came from 5 ft of water or less.
These guys are looking forward to making this an annual event.

Belle Glade Bass Fishing
This is Capt George Mrozinski with your Lake Okeechobee fishing report.
The South East corner of Lake Okeechobee offers some of the best bass fishing action on the Lake. Belle Glade Bass Fishing has been really good lately. I had the pleasure to fish with Kansas natives traveling to Florida on a family trip.
South Bay became a pivotal area to our numbers today. We did not catch the monster we were hoping for but put upward to 30 fish on the boat. You have to have patience with shiner fishing as they can drop the bait easier.
You sure do get used to the shiner fishing quickly because it is jammed packed with action. I look forward to fishing with them again. Safe travels back to Kansas.

March Big Bass Florida Fishing
This is Capt George Mrozinski with your Lake Okeechobee fishing report.
Lake Okeechobee draws crowds of people every year to experience its outdoor attractions. Ray and Chris wanted to experience a March Big Bass Florida Fishing Charter, and they were lucky.
Escaping the cold of Ontario, Canada, where they are from, they were ready to get out in the Florida sun.
When you come to fish Lake Okeechobee, wild-caught shiner fishing is an experience that is a must. We caught them up today with no monster fish. They had such a great time they booked another day with me.
On the second day, the action was even better. I could not keep track of the amount of fish we caught because it was non-stop all day. We ran through those shiners like it was nothing.
Ray and Chris caught their best monster largemouth bass weighing 9 pounds and 7 pounds, respectively.
I am looking forward to fishing with these gentlemen again, and if you want to book a dream trip, we are only one click away.
