Smallmouth Bass Fishing Adventure

Smallmouth Bass Fishing Adventure

Lake Erie in Pennsylvania is home to some of the BEST smallmouth bass fishing in the nation. Erie also has multiple attractions and is a great vacation spot this summer. A Smallmouth Bass Fishing Adventure is one of the many things you can experience while traveling to Lake Erie.

Prescott Bay is the part of the lake that we have found to produce the best fishing conditions.

Today, I had the pleasure of fishing with Eric Goodwin traveling from Iowa. He wanted to crush some smallmouth on artificial baits.

The cooler months in April promote fishing jerk baits that imitate bait fish. The smallmouth loves them.

The bass is holding on ledges that you can throw the jerk bait along. You can also catch them on tubes.

Water temperature is in the range of 55 to 57 degrees. We caught about 15 smallmouths, with the most prominent right around 5 pounds 8 ounces.

As the water warms up, the bite will consistently get better. The summer months bring the best smallmouth fishing. Venture North for a Bass Fishing experience of a lifetime.
