Bill and Mary were traveling from Missouri to experience Lake Okeechobee. The most productive area for fishing has been the west side of the lake out of Harney Pond. It was a special trip for Mary as she never caught a fish before. They went out on a quick 4 hour fishing trip out of Big water bait and tackle.

Wild caught live shiners were the most effective bait to catch largemouth bass this trip. Storms were rolling in which made the bite more interesting. They had to put on some rain gear and hunker down to wait for it to pass. Sometimes when you are patient and wait it out, you can catch some of your biggest fish on the back side of a rain storm.
