Matt and his son adventured out Bass Fishing Lake Erie with Captain Mark. Their main focus was to land several-quality smallmouth bass. One of the great things about this fishing trip was seeing different parts of Lake Erie. They traveled 11 miles northeast of Presque Isle Bay, where the bass was biting.

It wasn’t long after pulling up to the spot that we started landing fish. Matt and his son caught some nice smallmouth bass. Most of the bass were in the range of 3-4 pounds. Matt’s son caught one of the most significant weightings, up to 4 pounds. All the bass were caught on artificial baits on this fishing charter. The bass was on the bottom and ate mainly drop shots and ned rigs. These late summer months called for dark baits in around 15-22 feet of water.
