Captain Robert Miley is one of the best to catch peacock bass with here in South Florida. He had the pleasure of fishing with Fernando and his son Anthony. They were Brazil natives that moved to Miami to enjoy the great outdoors here in Florida. While they were here, they wanted to learn more about peacock bass fishing.

Captain Miley was the right man to help them with this!

Fernando and his son Anthony caught over 15 Florida peacock bass. The best methods to catch these fish were with live bait but they learned more about how to catch them on artificial bait. They got to catch several quality bass weighing up to 3.5-4 pounds. The water levels were dropped in Miami’s Airport Lakes making the fishing conditions slightly more difficult.

These guys had a great time learning and catching peacock bass. They will be back for more action in the near future. Captain Miley is looking forward to fishing with them again soon!
Just shortly after this fishing trip, Captain Joe Gruny adventure out on Miami’s Airport Lakes. It was an all-day adventure with a morning fishing trip and an afternoon fishing trip.

His morning Blue Lagoon Slam Fishing Adventures fishing trip was one for the books and he had the pleasure of fishing with Tony and his son Charles. They were traveling to South Florida to get out of the colder weather. While doing so, they wanted to catch some quality peacock bass.

Miami was the best place to do so and they caught some really nice peacock bass weighing up to 4 pounds.

Captain Joe is looking forward to Tony and Charles’s next adventure right here in sunny South Florida!

Captain Joe had the pleasure of fishing with Rich and Burton during his afternoon fishing trip. They were traveling from Sweden looking to spend some time in Florida outdoors. South Florida is a great place to visit and there is nothing like spending a day in the sun with great friends catching exotic peacock bass.

Even with a language barrier, Captain Joe got them on some excellent fishing and the proper techniques to do so. Rich and Burt caught several quality peacock bass with most in the weight range of 2-3 pounds. They are looking forward to their next adventure in Miami with Captain Joe!

Then Capt Joe Executes

The next day, Captain Joe was back out on Airport Lakes. This time, he had the pleasure of fishing with Julie, Brian, Branson, and Brielle. They were traveling to Florida looking for some quality time in the sun. While doing so, a calm day of fishing was the perfect outdoor activity for them.

What a morning it was for them with a lot of great action!

This lovely family caught a Blue Lagoon Slam fishing adventure. They caught Peacock Bass, Largemouth Bass, Cichlids, and even a freshwater Snook. Unfortunately, the Snook fell back into the water before a picture was able to be captured. A monster peacock bass was caught though weighing 6 pounds 3 ounces.
