Captain Kirk Osborne had the pleasure of fishing with a repeat client, John and his son Ethan. John has been fishing with Captain Kirk for two years. He has fished multiple areas in South Florida and was looking for something different. Captain Kirk took John on an adventure in the Falls Canal System, an urban jungle for peacock bass.

The fishing conditions were perfect for a productive day on the water. It was cool and comfortable with the sun shining. The winds may have been blowing but Captain Kirk found shelter behind the house and canals to find a peacock bass haven. John caught great numbers of peacock bass weighing up to 4 pounds.

John is looking forward to his next adventure out on the water with Captain Kirk!

The day after this awesome fishing trip, Captain Kirk was back out on the water. This time the conditions made a turn for the worse. All the wind the day before should have warned us that a South Florida cold front was moving in. Water temperatures dropped making the bite interesting and hard to find.

Teresa and her husband Andy did not mind the weather and wanted to explore what Miami’s Airport Lakes had to offer them. Their bucket list species was going to be caught on this fishing trip. Captain Kirk traveled to many different areas on this trip. It was not long until they dialed in on the bite and Andy caught his first peacock bass. Once the sun came out, the bite turned on and everyone started catching bass. Andy and Teresa ended the day with several peacock bass, largemouth bass, and cichlids.

They had a fantastic day and are looking forward to the next opportunity to catch more!

Just shortly after this fishing trip, Captain Joe Gruny explored Miami’s Airport Lakes. He had the pleasure of fishing with Jason and his buddy. What a day in Miami, FL while fishing for exotic peacock bass. Jason never got to experience bass fishing in Miami. While visiting, it was a must and they had a fantastic day on the water.

Jason and his friend caught over 14 peacock bass. Captain Joe made his bucket list fishing trip happen. They had a great start to the day and a strong finish. The biggest bass weighed in at 4 pounds 2 ounces. As the weather heats up, the bite will get better.
