Group Trip Bass Fishing Out Of Clewiston
This is Capt Mark Shepard with your Lake Okeechobee fishing report.
Well, folks just got off the water, doing a 2 boat trip with my partner Mark Rose and fishing with four people known as the Snowden party from Ohio. They’ve been with us before but this morning the winds were blowing 40 miles an hour, gusts up to 40 it was steady for over 30 miles an hour for the first 2 hours.
I didn’t know if we were going to be able to catch any fish. I had a few places in the swamp to hide so we went back in there in a safe place, and hunkered down and tried to stay out the wind best as possible and we burned them up, we went through our bait. We had great numbers of fish and some really really good ones. Even sometimes when mother nature throws down on you can still have a blessed day. This coming day is going to be super cold, we’ll see what happens then. Big shout out to Capt Mark Rose he did a great job and we all had a lot of fun and two of those folks got their personal best, so there’s What makes for a great day.

The Frazier Group on Lake Okeechobee
This is Capt Mark Shepard with your Lake Okeechobee fishing report.
Well folks, the last 3 days I’ve been out with the Frazier Group on Lake Okeechobee. It’s a group the guys that come out of Oklahoma that have been coming here for many years. It started with Mr. Frazier, we fished together, and then he start bringing out more and more friends and this time it was thirteen people. It nows spreads out over seven boats and everybody was real successful catching fish.
These guys hit the weather just perfect, prefrontal conditions dropped and getting real cold tonight as they leave. So they were blessed to have some wonderful weather on their fishing trip. Every boat had really, really good numbers of fish and almost everyone had a big fish or at least a change at one. The big fish winner out of the group wins the side pot, not sure what that is exactly but I know the winner ends up buying dinner for everyone, so it must be something good and surely adds a little additional fun to the party.

I had one fish over 8 pounds on my boat, we had another over 7 pounds and we had several fish over 6 pounds. Overall it was just a lot of fun, and we’re seeing a lot of big female bass starting to come into the shallows to spawn. This is the beginning of our season, and it’s looking fantastic!
I’d also like to thank all my fellow Captains from BASSONLINE for doing a fantastic job with this group of people, it takes TEAM work and you’re the best!

Loves to do Artificial Fishing, Really Good Fisherman
This is Capt Mark Shepard with your Lake Okeechobee fishing report.
Hey folks, Dennis Daniel’s has been out with me many many times he’s been down here for a couple days and had a whole lot of fun. Love’s to do artificial fishing, really good fisherman.
No one technique dominated, we mixed it up using topwater, many soft plastics, but they were eating a Bass Assassin lizard the best. Basically everything was working really well from us, even spinner baits, swim jigs and rattletraps…we caught them on everything!
This is a fantastic few days are Dennis, pretty good numbers of fish additionally a few nice fish caught in the mix. The weather was beautiful, fantastic time, the lake is doing really, really, well right now. If you get a chance to come fish Okeechobee, don’t miss out on your opportunity!

South Florida Fishing Lake Okeechobee Charter

Let me tell you, folks, Lake Okeechobee is looking good, the water is good, everything is going fantastic, and it will be an excellent season.
I got to go out with one of my long-time clients. I haven’t seen him in 5 years, so it’s cool to get this guy back out on the water; his name is Frank, and it’s great to see him again. It’s been a long, long time since got him out there. It was a short half-day trip, and we smoked them.
We used live bait and caught 2 to 3 fish for every shiner. It was an incredible Best South Florida Fishing Lake Okeechobee Charter. We had them eat dead shiners, but it was a beautiful day. A little bit of fog and a little bit of chop on the water, but folks, let me tell you what this year will be insane.
So many big fish are moving into the shallows. It’s going to be incredible. So when you get down here to Florida, the Big O is healthy and robust, providing an ecosystem to all sorts of wildlife, fish, and birds. It’s beautiful. Customer Breaks His Personal Record On Okeechobee
This is Capt Mark Shepard with your Lake Okeechobee fishing report.
I made a short trip with a gentleman from Kentucky. His name is Dan; he has been bass fishing; all his life and is 68 years old. The biggest one he’s ever caught was 5 pounds, and he told him lake Okeechobee is a great place to break that record.
We had a blast; we went out and caught good numbers, good quality 3 to 4-pounders, and still trying to break that record of his, and all of a sudden, he got a bite, and I thought it might have been a Snook, but it turns out it was a massive 10 pound even largemouth bass.
He broke his record, and it was his lifelong dream of catching a double-record fish.
