The Airport Lakes or Blue Lagoon showed up for the big time on this fishing trip. They had an awesome day on the water with a lot of action from these exotic peacock bass.

The fishing conditions were perfect for an outstanding day. Water temperatures were 81 degrees which are warm and perfect for the peacock bass. They were biting strong on this fishing trip. Kevin and Nick caught 15 peacock bass with the 5 biggest weighings between 20-25 pounds. Most of the fish were above 3 pounds. You can’t ask for a better day of fishing in freshwater. All the bass were stacked up in one key area that only the local experts know about.

Kevin and Nick had a great time fishing with Captain Bob. Captain Bob is looking forward to getting them back out on the water next time!

Just shortly after this incredible fishing trip, Captain Robert Miley had the pleasure of fishing with long time clients, Sandy and Jay. They love to catch peacock bass while they are traveling from Chicago. While they are down here for the rest of the winter, bass fishing is something that they are going to do often. They started out strong on this fishing trip.

Sandy and Jay caught 20 peacock bass. Most of the bass weighed between 2-3 pounds. They really enjoyed spending 6 hours on the water on this beautiful day. It was overcast which generally doesn’t produce a great bite but it did on this fishing trip. They are looking forward to the next fishing charter they adventure out on in the near future.
