Miami Falls Peacock Bass Fishing Adventure

Miami Falls Peacock Bass Fishing Adventure

Miami is known for its beautiful beaches and amazing outdoor activities. Take a break from the beaches and embark on a Miami Falls Peacock Bass Fishing Adventure that will leave you with memories that will last a lifetime.

I had the pleasure of fishing with Alex and his nephew Aiden traveling from Kansas to catch some of this exotic peacock bass. Uncle Alex is part of the Sheriff’s Department in Monroe County.

Fishing has been difficult due to the warm summer months here in South Florida. The rain has increased the water level by almost two feet as well pushing those big peacock bass deeper on the walls. A slight breeze made the conditions much better for all parties.

Alex and Aiden learned a lot about the sport of peacock bass fishing and had a great time. We caught over 20 fish with the biggest peacock in the 2-pound range. We also caught Midas Cichlids and largemouth bass.

Live bait is getting smaller which is catching smaller fish but hopefully, BJs Tackle Shop gets larger domestic shiners for our next trip out.

I am looking forward to embarking on another Florida Fishing Adventure in the future.
