BassOnline Florida Fishing Charter
This is Capt Steve with a fishing report for the St Johns River.
TV is a great way for you to stay tuned to what is going on in the world. Watching your hobbies is always a bonus. This resulted in Dan and Brandon embarking on a Three Day BassOnline Florida Fishing Charter Adventure.
Dan and Brandon came fishing with me today because they watched my Bob Redfern specials for the past 30 years and wanted to see what it was all about.
Florida has to offer some of the best fishing in the nation. Dan has been planning this trip to experience it for a long time now. They fished 3 days with us, all in the North Florida region. They had an absolute blast.
The Saint Johns River was the first fishery. It is looking really nice this time of year, even though the fishing was not the best. We caught about a dozen largemouth bass with the biggest right around 4 pounds.
The second day, they went out on the Rodman Reservoir with Captain Ken Walker. That is a story for another report. They had a great day though.
On the final day, we made our way to Lake Toho. They were persistent on throwing artificial baits to change it up and we did.
The artificial bite was not successful. Bed fishing was the only thing that would have worked well. We sat on a bed for like an hour with no luck.
The fishing could not get better the third day. We caught up to 20 bass with the biggest fish weighing up to 5 pounds.
Coming down to Lake Toho really paid off. They had a great time on the water and are looking forward to their next trip down.
