Capt John Leech has been a fishing guide in the business since 1972, and is Orlando’s largest and highest rated continuously-operated fishing captain in Orlando and Kissimmee area. Capt. John has also been featured in countless fishing TV shows and magazines. BASS Master Magazine a record 11 times, not including, Outdoor Channel, FS1, In-fisherman, ESPN, ABC Sports, and NBCSN.

With Capt. John, you’ll be fishing on board a 21’ Ranger bass boat powered by a 250hp engine. As you can see from the pictures above, it’s nicely wrapped and has the latest fishing gear and safety equipment. All fishing gear and lures are provided, but you are also welcome to choose to fish with artificial lures or wild shiners before the trip.
Capt John knows all the wildlife and where it lives on the lake so make sure you bring a camera to take pics of the bald eagles, ospreys, hawks, and various species of ducks, as well as alligators.

With the expert help of Capt. John, and despite the very cool conditions, we were able to catch fish all day long! We caught a lot in the 2-4 pound range with a couple of 5 pounders and one that went 6.32 for big fish of the day. It was an excellent day and John was wonderful company! I Highly recommend Capt. John Leech if you are looking for a person who flat knows where they are and how to catch them! By the way this is my second trip to Florida in the past year. I have booked through bassonline.com both times one on Okeechobee and then this trip to Toho. The trips were professional and exactly what I asked for and paid for each time. Big Bass, Super Fun We booked with Capt. John for a two and a half hour charter on 12/30/23. Aside from a super cold morning, we were on the hot bite within 20 mins. My wife and I caught between 6-7 fish each. A few of those were really nice at 5-6 lbs. John was a great communicator and patient with us as we typically ask lots of questions. You need to book with this guy This trip was great not only did I catch over 30 fish but Capt. John was great. He was informative on what we were doing and how the fish we positioned. Great time! My son and I went with captain John on a 6 hour trip. Captain John was great both wisdom and very knowledgeable about the chain of lakes. We both caught our PB large mouth today. Thanks again John!! we will fish with you again.
Top notch guide!!! John had me on fish the first cast. We had tough conditions with the wind but he had some spots we tucked away and we had a great time!!!

A nice Florida welcome I just got into bass fishing and it was a dream to come here and fish lake Toho for some trophy bass. I did a lot of research and had to choose between 3 guides. Well it wasn’t hard, 2 other guides were young and inexperienced. Capt John Leech has been in the biz for over 30 years and in bassmaster magazine 9 times and that’s who I wanted to go with. He took me straight to the fish and told me exactly what to do and it paid off. 17 in the boat and a PB. I am coming back to see John and might bring a friend.

Well it wasn’t hard, 2 other guides were young and inexperienced. Capt John Leech has been in the biz for over 30 years and in bassmaster magazine 9 times and that’s who I wanted to go with. In the 4 Hour charter between my wife and myself, we caught more than 30 bass, most were 4 - 6 lbs. We had 3 - 4 boats roaming in the vicinity and None were hauling the fish like us. Not being experienced fishermen, Capt. John was very helpful and patient with his guidance and explanations. We walked away Very happy and better equipped for our next excursion. Best bass fishing I’ve ever done Had an excellent day. Caught consistent fish for hours and all were good in size, a few really big ones. He was an awesome guide and was very knowledgeable about bass fishing, which helped me improve my skills. Would most definitely come back for another trip.

BEST FISHING GUIDES! I had the privilege to fish with Capt. John Leech and it was absolutely incredible. To say it was the best day fishing I have ever had would be an understatement. John was friendly, hard-working, knowledgeable of the local lakes, and had a teacher's heart to show us fishing tips we could take home. If you don't book with Captain John, either he is booked up, or you are crazy. I'll let the photos do the talking. One tip, buy the limit for live bait, don't skimp. Two trips to Lake Toho Capt. John Leech is top of the line Been on two trips to Lake Toho with Captain John Leech and let me tell you he is a top-notch guide. We have caught nice size bass both times and one was in tough conditions. This last trip netted us 25 plus. He has a great and patient personality and teaches even an experienced fisherman some things about catching fish and enjoyment of the great outdoors. Will definitely visit with him again sometime.

Two trips to Lake Toho Capt. John Leech is top of the line Been on two trips to Lake Toho with Captain John Leech and let me tell you he is a top-notch guide. We have caught nice size bass both times and one was in tough conditions. This last trip netted us 25 plus. He has a great and patient personality and teaches even an experienced fisherman some things about catching fish and enjoyment of the great outdoors. Will definitely visit with him again sometime.
Lake toho with Captain John Leech Captain Leech has taken me on 2 trips now. One in beautiful conditions in which we brought in 25 plus. Another in not great conditions and we brought in 10 plus. He does a great job putting you on fish and helping you with your techniques for catching them. He has a great sense of humor and very friendly and makes you feel comfortable on the water with him. Lake toho with Captain John Leech Captain Leech has taken me on 2 trips now. One in beautiful conditions in which we brought in 25 plus. Another in not great conditions and we brought in 10 plus. He does a great job putting you on fish and helping you with your techniques for catching them. He has a great sense of humor and very friendly and makes you feel comfortable on the water with him. Bass at Lake Toho My son and I recently took the opportunity to try bass fishing in Florida. After looking at a number of fishing trips, we settled for booking with IOutdoor. Our captain for the trip was John Leech. Needless to say, the trip was a success. John proved to be very knowledgeable for the lake and worked wonderfully to meet, and ultimately exceed our expectations. We were able to catch and boat a number of fish with many larger specimens. Fishing Lake Tohopekeliga We had a great day catching and releasing largemouth bass with Captain John Leach on 11/14/2018.The trip started at 6 a.m. and it was almost nonstop until 10:00. Not being experienced fishermen, Capt. John was very helpful and patient with his guidance and explanations. We walked away Very happy and better equipped for our next excursion.
