Beautiful Day Lake Toho Florida Bass Fishing

Beautiful Day Lake Toho Bass Fishing Central Florida

Hi, this is Capt John Leech with my Lake Toho fishing report.

Hi, this is Captain John Leech. Well, We had a great day on the pond. It has been a beautiful day Lake Toho Florida bass fishing. The big fish was just over 6 lbs. We started out throwing a bunch of artificial, but that did not work out as planned. We had 4 good bites but lost all of them. One of them fought all the way to about 10 ft from the boat and got off. These gentlemen were from Maine and liked to use light spinning tackle, but that just did not hold up to this Florida bass. Anyway, we switched over to shiners and just smoked them. Have a great day.

Gangbusters Come to Lake Toho

Hi this is Capt John Leech with my Lake Toho fishing report.

The Gangbusters come to Lake Toho for some quality bass fishing. The gangbusters being, Ron and his wife, and boy we started off great. The bite was on. At the first spot, we caught 12 fish, within an hour, and then the fish just turned off and didn’t want to eat for us anymore.

We caught more fish, but boy we had to work for them. We caught quality fish, a 4-lb, 1 fish almost at 5lbs, and when I say almost, it was 4.97 that’s as close to 5 you can get but anyway just had a really great day on the water.

Ron and his wife never had a fish over 3 pounds so he was really happy that 3 fish were in the 4+ pound range.

Anyways, that’s it for now, for all your Florida freshwater fishing adventures go to BassOnline, Captain John Leech signing out.

Alabama Fans Catching Some Bass Before The Game

Alabama Fans Catching Some Bass Before The Game

Hi this is Capt John Leech with my Lake Toho fishing report.

Today I Jim and his wife Dickey out on the water, and they caught a bunch of fish we started off with some artificial baits and fished for about an hour and a half on some schooling bass early in the morning, and they caught 8 or 9 fish.

We then went and started fishing the shiners and we burned through our three dozen, and caught about 18 fish, it was a real good morning and our Biggest fish was about 4 pounds.

They had a great time and they’re here for the Alabama game so we talked about that a little bit and poked fun at each other and just had a good time hanging out.

That’s it for now this is Captain John Leech.

Eagle Picks up Dinner on Lake Toho

Eagle Picks up Dinner on Lake Toho

Eagle Picks up Dinner on Lake Toho

Eagle Picks up Dinner on Lake TohoHi this is Capt John Leech with your Lake Toho fishing report.

We had a great trip with James, his brother and one real good friend of his. We went out and caught a bunch of pre-stage spawning fish up in the shallows. We targeted spawning areas with Kissimmee grass and lily pads throwing plastic lures.

One the artificial lure bite slowed down , we also went shiner fishing. We had to target pre-spawning bass on the the break lines of the underwater vegetation by trolling shiners.

During the trip we actually had an Eagle come swoop down near us, it came real close to the boat. The bird dove down to pick up a fish that had a bad day, by swimming to close to the surface out in the open water. It was a really neat experience to see this bird come within 30 yards of the boat and pickup this fish. We tried to get it on video, but the bird was much to fast and I guess camera shy.

Anyway, just a another really neat experience on the water of Lake Toho, so that’s it for now this is Captain John Leech signing off.

Found some New Fish on Lake Toho

Found Some New Fish On Lake Toho

Hi, this is Capt John Leech, your Lake Toho fishing guide.

I had Bob and his son out on the water, and we had a great day; the fish were schooling early. It was cool, but that was okay cause we still caught fish. I left that area and actually went out and found some new fish on some of the mats and shallow water, pre-stage spawning fish, and did well. We used up three dozen shiners on top of catching some fish on artificial. That’s it for now; for all your Florida freshwater fishing adventures, go to BassOnline; this is Captain John Leech.
