Captain Brian Brown had the pleasure of fishing with Bill and his son out of Belle Glade, FL. They wanted to explore Lake Okeechobee during a quick afternoon fishing trip while visiting. Family vacations are the perfect time to hop aboard and get in the outdoors. After doing research, Bill and his son wanted to throw live bait for some big largemouth bass.

Luckily, Lake Okeechobee showed us a great time. The first fish to the boat was a quality 6-pound largemouth bass. After that, the action stayed steady throughout the rest of the 4-hours. It is great to see families spending time together with each other, especially on the water. When you adventure out on this beautiful fishery, you can expect great fishing all trip long.

Bill and his son had a wonderful time catching largemouth bass. Captain Brian is looking forward to fishing with this family again in the near future!

It was not long after this fishing trip that Captain Brian was back on the water out of Clewiston, FL. This time, he had the pleasure of fishing with Jim, who turns 80 years young. This was a birthday present and a surprise for Jim. The best part was that his two sons Chris and Kenny were able to join him. Lake Okeechobee bass fishing was the perfect match for this amazing family.

When the boat is filled, live bait is one of the most successful methods to put bass in the boat. It was a great day on the water with most of the bass weighing between 2-3 pounds. The biggest bass weighed close to 5 pounds. Action is picking up and the warm months will bring more hungry bass to eat. Sometimes it is not about how many or what size fish you catch but more of who you are catching it with.

Nothing brings greater joy to a fishing captain than bringing families together for a fishing adventure of a lifetime. Captain Brian is looking forward to fishing with Jim, Chris, and Kenny on their next visit to Florida!

Another Great Day

Every trip seems to get better and better. Just shortly after this fishing trip, Captain Brian Brown was exploring the waters of Belle Glade again. This time he had the pleasure of fishing with repeat clients Don, his son Hayden, and his father-in-law Gary. Captain Brian loaded the boat with wild-caught live shiners from Slims Fish Camp and off they went.

Don, Hayden, and Gary had some nice action early in the trip. They were catching smaller bass and after making some moves, the action started picking up. It is only a matter of time before our local experts find the quality largemouth bass you are after. Hayden hooked into a big bass just shortly after making some moves. It was an 8-pound female largemouth bass in a post-spawn pattern.

Nothing beats catching big bass on Lake Okeechobee. On top of all that, this wonderful family got to experience some awesome weather, beautiful scenery, and all the Okeechobee critters. Captain Brian is looking forward to another excellent adventure with these guys again!
