Captain Steve Spatafora grew up in Orlando making him one of the few Florida fishing native guides. He is a Licensed Captain who has fished his entire life in Orlando for many freshwater species including crappie, largemouth, and peacock bass. Some of his favorite fishing holes include Kissimmee Chain of Lakes, Harris Chain of Lakes, St. John’s River, and several other area lakes.

His new favorite is Florida’s newest fishery called Headwaters lake. His lifelong pursuit of trophy largemouth bass makes for an exciting, educational, and safe time on the water for everyone. Captain Steve will always be positive, professional, and patient with both beginners and seasoned anglers.  He will do everything he can to make sure his customers are having a great time!

He accommodates half-day, three-quarter-day, and full-day trips for your convenience.  All trips include quality tackle (right and left-handed), artificial baits, all necessary safety equipment, cold soft drinks, and water.  Feel free to bring your own tackle and equipment if you prefer. Captain Steve will work hard to get you a beautiful trophy largemouth bass on any one of the surrounding Central Florida bass fisheries.

Capt Steve Spatafora preferred style of fishing for largemouth bass here in Orlando Florida is with live bait. It is the most successful method to land trophy-size largemouth bass all trip long. Every month of the year, you can utilize this bait to help land fish. Also, it is perfect for anglers of all ages to get addicted to the action.
Additionally, I love to catch bass with artificial baits. Artificial bait can be a fun way to bring fish to the boat. I can educate clients and anglers on how to use some of the best lures to catch bass all across the United States.

Took my 20 and 17 year old daughter and son out with Capt Steve. We wanted to fish artificial only, and he was very accommodating. Didn't get my double digit but he tried his butt off to get us on some fish using artificial only. Thanks Capt Steve. Would definitely recommend!!!!!

Personal Best We came and accomplished what we came to do. Repeat customer and once again Captain Steve crushed it. The man knows his stuff and is a pleasure to fish with. Low key and steady, well until I hooked into my 9# 5oz monster. He was just as excited as I was. We boated many 3-6 pound bass, action throughout the day. Between last year and this we boated 82 fish. See ya next year Steve.

Very Nice Day Steve was very helpful with the 3 boys 11,9,7 as they needed a lot of help. We caught several fish and Steve did his best to keep us on the fish. The boat was a beautiful machine, 50 mph very speedy! Very nice day. Highly recommend for kids or adults, great memories.

Capt. Steve Spatafora Once again I had an awesome fishing trip with Capt. Steve on Headwaters Lake. This was my 5th trip out with Capt Steve and like the other 4, it was fully up to the high expectations he had set. I have taken out my wife, my friends, and my father and he has been very accommodating to all! It was not an easy fishing day, being in south Florida during a cold front, but we made it happen with 23 boated fish, including multiple 3-4 pounders and a 7lb8oz hog of a largemouth. Nothing but the highest recommendations for Capt. Steve and the time you will have when you book with him!

A sure bet! I've fished with Capt. Steve a few times. There are plenty of captains to choose from, but when you got the best, use the best. I always reserve Capt. Steve. He is dedicated, knowledgeable, and has a fun filled spirit. If you want results, choose Capt. Steve. We were in harsh conditions today to say the least. Cold! Rain for four+ hours. Wind! And we still landed 32 good fish! (We missed a couple hook sets, or the number could have been bigger).

Incredible Trip A friend and I fished with Captain Steve for 2 incredible days on Headwaters. Both days had their weather challenges but he put us on piles of quality fish each day. A complete tutorial of the Day on the Water! Capt. Spatafora completely exceeded my expectations on my trip to Headwaters Lake! I was contacted a day prior and advised on what to bring, where to go, and what to expect.
On the water he was on time, professional, and informative. I arrived having no clue about the lake of methods used that day. After 4 hrs of fishing, I learned the history of the lake and how to effectively fish the golden shiner technique. I boated 25 bass in 4hrs. So I would call that a successful day on the water. I would definitely consider another trip with Capt Spatafora for sure!

Full Day Fishing Free-lining golden shiners at two locations in Lake Toho with Cpt Steve. Tricky bite…let ‘em run! My son and I caught 25-30 bass up to 5 lbs. Gear was a little wonky but Steve’s knowledge and stories plus the regular bites made the day enjoyable. Awesome sunrise and the diverse bird life was an added treat!
