CAPT RICHARD
Capt Richard Hernandez is excited for you to join in on the great private peacock bass charters. Capt Richard was born in New York City, and like other moved here many moons ago. He is a veteran and has a CG license Master 100 Ton.
Early mornings as the sun rises is always nice, but because these fish bite all day I offer three different times for your convenience.
He will make sure and teach them all he can to make the trip as successful as it can be! Anyone’s welcome to join the fun!

If you are looking for a fun, entertaining, down to earth guy to take you out for a charter, this is your guide! Richard was so accommodating and made a perfect day out for my husband and I. You can tell by these smiles that we had an amazing time and will definitely plan another trip back in the future!

Peacock Bucket List If you want to scratch Peacock Bass off your bucket list go with Captain Richard out of Hialeah Florida. We caught over 40 Peacocks and a number of other species including bass, crappie, Mayan Cichlid and one that we couldn’t identify a cross between a Ling and a Bowfin. Oh yes and my fishing buddy had a big snook on but lost him in a dock. Great guide great guy and a great day. On top of that I saved $8,000 because we didn’t have to go to the Amazon to scratch Peacock Bass off my bucket list. ThanksAndy Clements

Wife and I did this trip and had a blast . We caught 16 fish total if I counted right . My wife caught all 4 largemouth bass, the rest were peacock bass. He told us the plan and what to expect, we were fishing right away after entering the boat. Wife caught the first peacock bass about 100 feet from the launch site . We were catching fish right away. Had a double hookup and multiple back to back catches. The guide makes sure you stay on fish and will move around to keep you in the action .

I was visiting the area for work and had some free time on a weeknight to do something and I found Captain Richard on Google. Luckily he had an opening and told me to come on over for an evening fishing outing. From the time that we left the dock, Captain Richard was very clear on how we were going to fish and where we were going. We hooked up on a Peacock bass within 5 mins of being on the water and what a fight they were! Being an experienced fisherman, I still found it extremely helpful to listen to the suggestions that Richard was giving me and he always kept the rods baited and in the water. This created the opportunity for double hook ups multiple times. It was a gorgeous evening on a quiet freshwater lake and it could not have been a more fun time spent. I highly recommend Whata Fight Fishing charters to individuals, couples, families or visiting business folks looking for a good time spent on the water and relaxing. Thanks again for the memories Capt. Richard and for helping me check the Peacock Bass off my bucket list. Can’t wait to do it again with ya!

What a fun fishing trip! Rick was a great guide ensuring everyone in the boat caught fish! We had 9 peacocks and 1 largemouth bass. Rick went above and beyond to ensure my family had fun. We have done ocean fishing private charters over the years and found we enjoyed this lake guided tour better. We would do this fishing trip again!
