Catching Stud Largemouth Bass Out of Slims Fish Camp Lake Okeechobee

Hey everybody this is Capt Dave Lauer calling in a fishing report for Lake Okeechobee.

Here is your Catching Stud Largemouth Bass Out of Slims Fish Camp Lake Okeechobee report. We fished out of Belle Glade, Slims Fish Camp, a must-see if you come to Lake Okeechobee. Tory Island is a beautiful place on the southeast corner of Lake Okeechobee.

I had the pleasure of fishing with a gentleman from Wisconsin. His name was Brian Jensen, owner of a fishdy, a mapping app for fishermen. It is an incredibly useful tool on the water.

We started off the day with artificial, and I’m not going to lie to you it was tough. We got some little fish using a multitude of techniques, creature baits, swimbaits and swim worms.

So at 1 o’clock, we went back to Slims Fish Camp and grabbed two dozen shiners. We wanted to show the world he can catch big fish. I think he caught one over 6 pounds, another over 7 pounds, and plenty in the 3-pound range.

We were superstars and felt like it. That’s what the shiners can do. Anyway, this is Captain Dave. Keep Catching big fish. Talk to you tomorrow. If you enjoyed this report with Captain Dave Lauer, you might also enjoy this fishing report from the same area
