Captain Reno Alley had the pleasure of fishing with Patrick and his wife Jerry. They adventured out on the Winter Haven Chain of Lakes looking to land some quality largemouth bass. Bass fishing was one of the activities they wanted to embark on while visiting. They were traveling from the Czech Republic to come to visit Central Florida.
The fishing on the Winter Haven chain was absolutely fantastic. Conditions were just right to land some numbers of largemouth bass. Along with great numbers, they landed some big bass. Also, some smaller fish made it into the mix. The amount of joy that this awesome couple had catching bass was amazing. Most of the bass were in the range of 2-4 pounds which makes this one of the Best weekend bass fishing charters.
The Excitement Continues
The Winter Haven Chain of Lakes is alive and well! Captain Reno is looking forward to having another fantastic day on the water on their next visit. They will be back for more action!
Just shortly after this incredible fishing charter, Captain Steve Niemoeller adventured out on the Butler Chain of Lakes. He had the pleasure of fishing with Brian, Nam, and Clay. They just moved to Florida recently and wanted to get a bass fishing experience. Also, they wanted to take some time away from their medical professions.
The bite started slower than normal but the action picked up quickly. It was a blessing because Captain Steve then had the ability to teach them more about fishing. One of their requests was to get some insights on what techniques they will need in order to have success fishing off the water. They live on Johns Lake and will use some of these methods there.
Most of the bass were caught in shallow water on this fishing trip. As temperatures get cooler, the bass will start to move to shallow water. Brian, Nam, and Clay caught some decent numbers and some quality bass. Wild-caught live shiners were the most successful technique but they got to learn a lot about artificial baits as well.
