South Florida Bass Fishing Charters with Capt Mark
Captain Mark Shepard here With the South Florida Bass Fishing Charters, out on Lake Okeechobee today and well folks I am worried about my northern friends cuz I know it is cold cold cold and its pretty cold down here, and it is in the forties good gosh for us down here that is a brutal man. I had to wear socks with my flip-flops. I have my sandals on having some socks on to Keep my feet a little toasty but what a wonderful day I had 3 guys from Colorado Nick Scott and Eric these guys are a lot of fun to hang out with they ice fish I’m like why I just don’t get it.
You know I’d like to go sometime just sit in the hut and just watch Keep me by the heater it would be a lot of fun to see something like that, but for me. I keep a tropical state of mind, But we had a slugfest we put a wacking on them today got great number’s got some good quality, tomorrow Not looking so good, will be in the forties again. Maybe a little lower. They’re talking about 40 even that’s really cold for me. I’m gonna be bundled up in all my winter gear and I know you northern folks are like yeah right, but anyways I want to try to stay warm, and we’ll see what happens got a long time client has been with me for a long long time, a lot of you people know Jim Robertson that is who I am fishing with tomorrow. you guys have to check it out.

Mark Shepard here with your Lake Okeechobee bass Fishing report well folks out on the water with Ed and his friends from Wyoming Bunch of Cowboys really good folks. I spent a lot of time with Ed out on their family Ranch out in Wyoming and they gave me some of the greatest adventures ever and it’s always an honor to have them down here and giving them some adventures out on Lake okeechobee and today and we had a great Adventure today it was a wonderful morning. Calm Winds little foggy and the fish were biting like crazy lots of numbers. fishing with light tackle artificial, we had big fights on spinning Rods and just had a whole lot of fun, but every time I get around these guys I just have the time of my life. A lot of fish are starting to move into these flats, water levels are nice. It is time to make your reservations good things are going to be coming here over the next few months. this is Captain Mark Shepard take your kids fishing when you get a chance.

Well folks one of the greatest things about my job is I get to meet some fantastic people and today I had a Professional Magician…. I mean this guys off the charts! Just a quick little story about that..he pulls out a deck of cards on the front of my boat…standing there says, “Mark pick one”…so I look at it real good put it back in the deck of the cards…he pulls out a card and ask “if this is it” I said no! Well he says he must of messed up because go back and look in your live well… There’s the card in the live well! This guy was fun nominal, just absolutely amazing day! Bill Blagg’s if you get a chance go see a show, he’s traveling all over the country.. with his good friend Mill Brooks.. these guys were fun nominal! We had a hoot of a time catching wonderful fish and they kept me on my toes all day. Just a great day folks! Seriously if you get a chance go check these guys out… He’s a fantastic! He’s an illusionist, go check them out.. They did a whole bunch of tricks on my boat. I never had that kind of entertainment. Hey did some crazy stuff! I could tell you about a whole bunch of things, but we just had our self a blast.. got some beautiful fish.. just fantastic folks to spend the day with.. Lake Okeechobee is really getting good… fish starting to migrate in.. looking forward to a fantastic season on the Big O.. water levels are great.. everything is just wonderful!

Cheyenne having caught 16 of the Bass Herself
This is Captain Mark Shepard with your Lake Okeechobee fishing report… Well, folks out on the water with some return clients Mike, Zack, and his girlfriend Cheyenne… Just super cool kids are both in high school and Cheyenne smoked them today! She’s left both guys sitting in the dark…We used live bait for fishing today and a little bit of artificial. When you’re on the backside of the moon, it’s a little bit slower numbers. You know we have to grind them out. Numbers weren’t too bad, we had 25 fish on live bait but Cheyenne had 16 of the Bass herself. She smoked them and she got the biggest one and we caught some really great fish, just a super day! The weather was pretty decent with a little breezy, very comfortable this morning… We’re looking to do this again tomorrow looking forward to another adventure and see if we can even get some bigger ones! It’s pretty nice when first time ever fishing Okeechobee and this young lady whooped these guys who are really good bass fishermen…It was just fun to watch!

A Three Day Trip with Joe Mixing it up with Capt Mark
This is your Lake Okeechobee fishing report with Captain Mark Shepherd. Over the last few days lots of wind but lots of fish. I went out fishing with a super guy his name’s Joe who is from Maryland. Just a great person to hang out with, lot of history his been part of Vietnam War just an honor to be with him and be part of his trip. We had a good time! We mixed it up a little bit today with using Live Bait and some Artificial. Had some great number’s with catching some pretty good quality fish. We’re doing a three day trip here. I’m really looking forward to the rest of our time. We might get some rain hopefully that doesn’t happen and mother nature gives us a chance because the wind is going to be just right in our favor. We’ll see how it goes. Lake Okeechobee is doing real good. Getting ready for spawning season coming up and going to be just fantastic this year! The water levels are nice with water quality being beautiful this year, so if you get a chance come on down.
