Learning New Fishing Techniques

Learning New Fishing Techniques is very important when coming to Lake Okeechobee. You must be able to learn new and improved techniques to catch the quality of largemouth bass you are looking for traveling to the Lake.

I had the pleasure to fish with Bryant and Brook a couple that is young and new to fishing Lake Okeechobee. Bryant is used to fishing with a Zebco fishing reel and we wanted to teach him how to throw a bait caster.

Brook was very happy with throwing a spinning reel and rod. As Bryant was getting the hang of fishing this new technique, Brook was putting them in the boat. Bryant caught up with her and they had a great time learning something new.

The numbers are up on the lake and the bass are biting artificial baits on light tackle. They caught over 30 largemouth bass with most in the 3 to 4-pound range.

Summertime is a very exciting time of year for fishing especially as the bass continues to school and move around the lake. Light tackle is dominating and we are catching them up. I am looking forward to fishing with this great couple again.

Father Son Bass Fishing Adventure

Father Son Bass Fishing Adventure

Lake Okeechobee is one of the BEST bass fishing lakes in the world. The healthy population of largemouth bass makes this time of year very exciting for a Father-Son Bass Fishing Adventure.

I had the pleasure of fishing with Bill and Noah. I am always envious of these amazing Father-Son fishing trips that we partake in. It is always an honor to be part of them.

Lake Okeechobee gave us a tough bite but we managed to find a number of quality bass throughout the trip. We have been catching big bass even though the Lake is low and we are getting into the summer months.

Noah caught his personal best largemouth bass weighing 7 pounds 8 ounces. They caught the fish they were looking for and next year we will put them on a bigger one.

They love traveling to Florida Fishing and catching big bass while having the opportunity to spend a day on the beach as well.

We had another blessed day even with the water levels still lower than average. Do not miss out on your Outdoor Fishing Adventure.

Light Tackle Big Bass Fishing

Light Tackle Big Bass Fishing

Light Tackle Big Bass Fishing

It is that time of year when the water is getting low on Lake Okeechobee. Light Tackle Big Bass Fishing is in effect.

Today, I had the pleasure of fishing with a long-time friend, Charlie Reed.

Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing is at its finest with the bass schooling across the whole lake. The largemouth here is incredible and hard fighting due to the massive amount of travel time.

Lake Okeechobee Largemouth Bass are some of the hardest fighting bass in the world because of the amount of distance they must travel.

Charlie and I put them in the boat with our best 5 weighing over 25 pounds. We had multiple 5 and 6-pound bass. The action was amazing and
I know Charlie will be back for more.

It is also that time of year that the water warms across South Florida and the peacock bass is biting and fighting even harder than the largemouth. Travel further south and hook yourself into a fish of a lifetime with BassOnline.

Early Summer Big Bass Fishing

Early Summer Big Bass Fishing

Early Summer Big Bass Fishing

Lake Okeechobee is alive and well. The shallow waters have produced an interesting bite. Early Summer Big Bass Fishing has been exceptional this year.

I had the pleasure to fish with Nevin, a long-time friend, and client of mine. He is traveling from Fort Myers for the largemouth bass on Lake Okeechobee.

The water levels are continuing to drop. Low water levels will push fish into different spots across the lake.

We pulled up to one of my honey holes and we caught them up in the short trip we were out. We were catching 2 bass per shiner at one point.

The day went by quickly and we ran out of shiners. We caught right around 50 fish and ended the day throwing topwater baits.

On one of our last shiners, we caught a giant 7 pounds 12-ounce largemouth bass.

I had a blast with Nevin today and I am looking forward to fishing with him again soon. Come to Lake Okeechobee and Catch the Monster you have been waiting to catch.

Light Tackle Bass Fishing

Light Tackle Bass Fishing

Light Tackle Bass Fishing has been phenomenal this year on Lake Okeechobee. As the weather warms and the water drops, the better the fishing will be.

Today, I had the pleasure of best Light Tackle Bass Fishing with Dustin and John. John has retired from the Coast Guard and wanted to set the hook into numbers of bass.

Light tackle is taking over the lake and it has been a blast to catch the amount of fish on it. Throwing topwater and moving baits in open water have been crushing the largemouth.

Giants are still being caught on the Lake even though they are all spawned out. Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing can provide you with a dream fish this time of year.

John and Dustin were both great anglers. John caught his personal best today weighing 7 pounds 12 ounces.

We had a great time and I am looking forward to fishing with them again. The peacock bass is turning on so come travel to South Florida and have a fishing adventure of your lifetime!
