Sterling Group Fishing Trip on Lake Okeechobee near Harney Pond

Sterling Group Fishing Trip

Group Trips are always an excellent way to experience Florida Fishing. The abundance of great fisheries makes for enjoyable times out on the water. Our Sterling Group Fishing Trip was a great time this year.

I had the pleasure to fish with Adam, Joe and John. They were traveling from Texas to go out fishing on Lake Okeechobee. We fished the Harney Pond area and north for Florida largemouth bass.

The fishing was decent and the conditions were nice for catching bass. Water Temperatures were at 74 degrees. Warmer weather made the fish more active.

Adam, Joe and John had a blast fishing on the Big O. They caught their personal best largemouth bass weighing 7.8 pounds. Also, they got to experience 30 bass in the boat. Wild caught live shiners were the most effective method catching these bass.

Focusing in on Hydrilla paid off big time. Grass is the most important focal point when fishing Lake Okeechobee. I am looking forward to fishing with these gentlemen again in the future.

Don’t miss out on your adventure next time visiting the state of Florida or if you are on a corporate trip and want to get in the outdoors. Come Catch the fish of a lifetime!
