South Florida Fishing at its best

Andrew and his son Brandon were vacationing here in South Florida looking for something new to explore. They came across the exotic peacock bass and really wanted to catch one. Captain Miley had the pleasure of taking them out on the water on Miami’s Airport Lakes. Fishing conditions paired up for an active day on the water for a quick 4-hour fishing trip.

The big peacock bass did not show up for Andrew and Brandon. Captain Miley had to hunt the bass down helping them land 10 quality peacock bass in the boat. Being patient and fishing slowly was the most successful method in catching bass. Air temperatures were warm making the bite more difficult but they managed to have a great day on the water.

During these warm summer months, the best time to come catch bass is in the early morning. Get out before the sun gets high in the sky. Warm waters will keep the bass active. Captain Miley is looking forward to fishing with Andrew and Brandon again in the near future!

It was not long after this fishing trip that Captain Miley was back on the water. This time, he had a change in scenery. He had the pleasure of fishing with Kenneth and his wife Julie in the Aerojet Canal System. They were traveling from New Mexico looking for a South Florida adventure. While making their plans for their vacation, peacock bass fishing was on their mind. Yet again, it was a quick bass fishing adventure in the morning hours. Ken and Julie had a great time catching 10 peacock bass and largemouth bass.
