Captain Robert Miley had the pleasure of fishing with Michael for an Outstanding Summer Peacock Fishing. Michael was retired from the paper business traveling from Chicago looking to spend some time in South Florida. While doing so, peacock bass fishing was a must! Captain Miley took him to explore the Blue Lagoon or Miami Airport Lakes.

Michael had a blast catching over 12 peacock bass in his quick 4-hour fishing trip. One of the hazards of fishing for peacock bass is that when they get hooked they run into the underwater structure. Michael had a big peacock bass on but it ran right into the trees down under. Fish were swimming around and looking to feed.

Michael had a great time landing and catching South Florida peacock bass. Captain Miley is looking forward to getting back out on the water with Michael again soon!

Just shortly after this fishing trip, Captain Miley was back out on the water. He had the pleasure of fishing with Chris and Kea on Miami’s Airport Lakes and Falls Canal System. It was an excellent 2-day fishing adventure, Chris and Kea were traveling from Wisconsin looking to soak up some Florida sun. Peacock bass fishing just happened to be one great way to enjoy the outdoors.

The peacock bass fishing on the Airport Lakes is a little bit slower as the variance of water depths pushes the bass down. Chris and Kea caught over 10 peacock bass on their first trip. The next day, they ventured further south to catch bass in the Falls Canal System. It surely was a different day on the water. Chris and Kea landed 20 peacock bass on this trip with a majority of fish weighing between 2-3 pounds.

Always a Surprise in Miami

Wildlife was also very abundant on this adventure. Chris had the ability to pet a surfacing manatee as well as feed it freshwater. When things like this happen, you end the day just right. Chris and Kea had an outstanding summer peacock fishing adventure right here in South Florida.
