Miami Peacock Fish Report 4
Captain Joe Gruny adventured out to explore the Falls Canal System. He had the pleasure of fishing with repeat clients Jim and Patrick. These gentlemen were traveling from Chicago looking to cash in on some Florida bass fishing. The exotic peacock bass has been on their bucket list and there was no better place to adventure than Miami.

Miami blessed them with an incredible fishing trip and conquered their goal. Their bucket list was completed with over 14 peacock bass in the boat. They also caught 4 largemouth bass. The fish were scattered and not schooled up. Sometimes, that is the best fishing as you get to experience several parts of a fishery.

Jim and Patrick will be back for more action in the near future. Captain Joe is looking forward to getting them on even better fishing next time!

Just shortly after this fishing trip, Captain Robert Miley had the pleasure of fishing with Mike Hart again. He was in our last update but this time he brought his son Shawn with him. Shawn was traveling from Pennsylvania looking to cash in on Miami peacock bass fishing. Miami’s Airport Lakes produced big time for this father-son duo.

Mike and Shawn landed over 20 peacock bass on this fishing trip. Most of them were in the weight range of 2-4 pounds. Shawn also caught a largemouth bass weighing 6.5 pounds. The rain came down on them most of the day but that did not stop the action. They had two big bass on but they outsmarted the anglers and swam into trees.

Mike and Shawn had a lot of fun catching more bass right here in Miami. Shawn was amazed at how hard they pulled. Captain Miley is looking forward to their next adventure in the near future.

It was not long after this fishing trip that Captain Miley was back on the water. This time he had the pleasure of fishing with Joe and his father Steve. They were traveling from Chicago and wanted to get out peacock bass fishing. It was a last-minute trip and we made it happen. They brought down their saltwater boat but the weather did not permit them to go out fishing, so the calm waters of Miami’s Airport Lakes was a better match.
