Meet Mike, he was traveling from Ocala, FL to explore what the Rodman Reservoir had to offer. Luckily, he did not have to travel far to get on some beautiful fish. The action was very interesting on this fishing trip. Captain Ken Walker had the pleasure of showing Mike what North Florida is all about.
Mike is an avid saltwater and fly fisherman. Freshwater fishing was not something that he had experienced. The Rodman Reservoir is the perfect place to explore freshwater fishing for the first time. It will most certainly have you addicted and ready to pursue more of what Florida has to offer.
Mike had a fantastic time fishing with Captain Ken. He caught over 10 largemouth bass with the biggest weighing in at 6 pounds 5 ounces. While freshwater fishing, Mike also caught a monster Florida gar measuring almost 60+ inches.
Fishing conditions paired up for a great day on the water. It was sunny and breezy which kept the day cooler. Mike is most certainly excited to get back out on the water. Captain Ken is looking forward to their next fishing adventure in the near future!
Just shortly after this fishing trip, Rob Martin came to explore the Rodman Reservoir. Rob was traveling from New Jersey looking to cash in on some excellent fishing. During the earlier days of drawdown, it can be difficult to find fish. Luckily, Rob explored the waters with Captain David Lang.
It was yet again another beautiful day on the Rodman Reservoir. The bite was slower to start but as the trip went on, Captain David found the fish. Rob was ecstatic about catching over 10 largemouth bass as well with one weighing just under 7 pounds.
The day was great overall and the sun was shining. Florida weather and conditions made for a productive time. Captain David is looking forward to getting back out on the water with Rob again in the near future!
