Clewiston Bass Fishing with Capt Mark Shepard

December Lake Okeechobee Fishing 1The time has arrived. Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing is looking fantastic. I had the pleasure of fishing with Larry and Tina. They were traveling from Chicago looking to experience what Lake Okeechobee had to offer.

The lake is really starting to pick up. Clean water and healthy bass are making for a dangerous combination. If you are looking to catch a big bass on Lake Okeechobee, now is the time to do it.
Larry and Tina never had the chance to experience shiner fishing on the Big O. Lake Okeechobee is the perfect place to be introduced to live bait fishing. They caught some beautiful fish on this fishing trip.

Larry and Tina caught over 20 bass on their quick 6-hour fishing trip. Most of the fish were in the 2-4 pound range. The biggest bass caught weighed in at 6 pounds.

Beds are being created. New grass is growing. Clean water is here and the big bass is being caught. This is a recipe for a great season ahead.

I am looking forward to showing Larry and Tina another amazing trip out on the water in the near future!” – Capt Mark Shepard

Belle Glade Bass Fishing with Capt Joe Gruny

“I had the pleasure of fishing with Michael and his brother. This duo were traveling from Plainville, Massachusetts looking to cash in on some bass fishing here in Florida. Lake Okeechobee showed them a fantastic time on the water with some great action!

Michael and his brother had a blast catching doubles all trip long. Non-stop action with wild-caught live shiners made for a memory they will never forget. I took them to several spots that were holding some quality fish.

They caught over 15 largemouth bass in their quick 4-hour fishing trip. Sunny and breezy weather made for nice fishing conditions. Most of the largemouth caught were males in the 2-3 pound range. The biggest fish caught was close to 4 pounds.

I am looking forward to getting back out on the water again with them soon!” – Capt Joe Gruny

Bass Fishing out of Okeechobee City, FL with Capt Rob Alfano:

“A cold front rolled over Lake Okeechobee. The cool morning had me excited. I knew once the sun heated the surface of the water, the fish were going to turn on. December Okeechobee Fishing Report 1

I had the pleasure of fishing with Scott out of the north end of Okeechobee. Braving the cooler temperatures, Scott caught numbers of quality largemouth bass. Live bait was the most successful method to catch bass on this fishing trip.

After moving around waiting for the warm sunshine to come out, we found a productive area. Scott picked away at over 15 bass on this fishing trip. Several fish weighed in at 3-4 pounds.

Scott had a fantastic time and I am looking forward to exploring Lake Okeechobee with him again soon!” – Capt Rob Alfano
