Belle Glade Lake Okeechobee MONSTER Bass Fishing Mid January

Hello this is Capt Mark Rose with your Lake Okeechobee fishing report.

Here is your Belle Glade Lake Okeechobee MONSTER Bass Fishing Mid-January report. I took Johnny Furlough and his wife Val Christina, out of Belle glade, Florida. Fishing was a little slow at the start, but we went out and had a lot of fun. This was a customer of mine from last year. We went out last year and caught them pretty well. So you know there was a lot on the table today, the biggest was 6.8 lbs last year, so they were looking to catch another personal best. We’ve got 60 shiners going out and we ran around and we finally found them.

There was a point in time at about noon that Christina was like man, this is really slow, I’m about ready to go home, and you know I just couldn’t let that happen. And so we then went back into one area where I knew they were and it just was like somebody turn on lights. The biggest fish was a 10 pound 9 ounce followed by a 7 pound 11 ounce followed by a 7 pound 1 ounce, now they both had their personal best broken in one day. They can’t wait to come back. This was a dream day on Lake Okeechobee, we caught about 35 fish altogether, even though it was slow.

The trip was a success, it was a lot of fun. It has been booking up fast, so contact Bassonline.com, for all your fishing needs. Thank you. Bye.
