Bass fishing On Okeechobee After The Cold Front

Hi, this is Captain Mark Rogers today we were fishing at Lake Okeechobee.

I was out on the water 2 days after the strongest cold front of the year hit and it dropped the temperature on the lake quite a lot, I was here a couple of days ago before the front and the water temperature was about 75, today it started out at 58 so that put a damper on the fishing a little bit, but we were able to catch a few bass.

We were shiner fishing today and the wind blew pretty much out of the east around 10 to 15 mph with a little stronger gusts every once in a while.

I had to hop around a little bit to find some fish, but we finally caught a few here and there, it wasn’t all that exciting, but we were able to get some decent fish in these tough conditions.

It was overcast and windy and that helped the bite a little bit cause if it was bright and sunny it might have been even tougher but it turned out to be a pretty decent day after all.

Well, that’s it for now, this is Capt Mark Rogers, keep searching for those big ones.
