I had the pleasure of fishing with Bill and Mike. They were traveling from Central Florida to experience what Lake Okeechobee had to offer. Okeechobee City was the closest location to them. The North End is an excellent destination to catch quality largemouth bass.
We adventured out for a quick 4-hour fishing trip. Wild-caught live shiners were the most effective using 4 dozen of them. We focused mainly on the Kissimmee River. During this fishing trip, the Gut or Pass was the most effective location.
The bass started to bite later than expected. Even though, we still caught several-quality fish. Bill and Mike landed a 4.5, 4.7, and the biggest at 5 pounds. You can’t beat the action down here on Lake Okeechobee.
