I had the pleasure of fishing with Rip and his wife. They wanted to experience something uniquely different while visiting Central Florida. Orlando was the perfect area to get out on one of the amazing bass fisheries.

The Butler Chain of Lakes is a gorgeous clear water lake with deep grass structures. These grass structures hold excellent largemouth bass. Wild-caught live shiners are the most effective baits to catch bass on these structures.

Rip and his wife caught over 20 Florida largemouth bass. The biggest bass weighed 4.9 pounds on the scale. Rip’s wife was the one that landed this beautiful fish.

Now is a perfect time to get out on the Chain of Lakes. Even though the fishing will still be great in the summer months, the beautiful weather can’t be beaten.
