I had the pleasure of fishing with Chris and Randall. They wanted to come to explore what Central Florida and the Orlando area had to offer them when it came to bass fishing. Johns Lake was their lake of choice and they chose it correctly for this fishing trip.
Johns Lake was putting out the big ones on this trip. Both Chris and Randall caught their personal best largemouth bass with the biggest weighing 7.5 pounds. They boated over 50 bass and couldn’t have been more ecstatic.
Wild-caught shiners were the best method and technique for catching these quality largemouth bass. Fish were held in 5 feet of water surrounded by grass and beds. Many fish are preparing or finishing their last spawn.
